Great Value
The lampat 90 LED Solar Security Light is a highly efficient motion sensing solar security light. Great for back yards, entry ways, any area where motion needs detecting. Made with ABS plastic and aluminum for added durability. Instruction manual includes : Product description, Parts list, Operation, How to use the Control Dials, Assembly, Lamp Installation, Trouble Shooting, Replacing Batteries, Maintenance, and Safety Information. Plus we are always available to assist you. We will show the features of this phenomenal security light. OPERATION MADE SIMPLE There is an ON/OFF/AUTO switch located on the underside of the light. A toggle switch. With the Switch in the "AUTO" position, the light turns on automatically as soon as nearby motion is detected. When switched to the "ON" position the light stays on and functions as a regular light. In the "OFF" position, the light remains off, and the sensor will not detect motion. The Solar Security Light must be charged for 3 days in the "OFF" position before use. HOW TO USE THE CONTROL DIALS The lampat Solar Security Light lets you adjust the settings with the use of three control dials: 'Lux' which controls the units sensitivity to light in the surrounding area. 'Sens' controls the units sensitivity to nearby motion . "Time' controls how long the light will stay on after detecting motion **** These controls are located beneath the Lights Motion Detector*** ASSEMBLY OF SOLAR PANEL OR DECK-MOUNTED First secure the bracket to the solar panel with screws provided. Set the bracket on the base surface or layer, and secure it in place with the larger size screws provided in the hardware packet. Adjust the angle of the solar panel to ensure that it receives the most favorable amount of sunlight. NOTE: The solar panel comes with a 16 foot cord. So both units can be installed up to 16 feet apart. LAMP INSTALLATION First remove the U shaped mounting bracket from the rear of the lamp with the knobs mounted on each side of . Then using the U shaped mounting bracket mark out the spot where the unit is to be installed. Secure the lamp to the wall with the screws provided. Carefully route the power cord from the solar panel to the lamp and plug it into the battery housing which is located under the lamp where the ON/OFF/AUTO switch is located. Adjust the motion sensor towards the area where motion or movement is likely to be detected. Using the screws on the neck of the detector. The sensor can be moved 'UP or DOWN' or from 'SIDE to SIDE' giving you versatility of movement. REPLACING BATTERIES The batteries are lodged in the compartment located behind the lamp unit. Remove the screws of the battery compartment to access batteries. Replace the batteries with the rechargeable batteries of the same type and rating. Close the battery compartment using its screws. NOTES: This 90 LED solar light requires a 3.7 Volt 2200 mAh 18650 Lithium rechargeable battery To ensure that the detection of any nearby motion is effective or as useful as possible, the lamp should be mounted 6.5 to 9.8 Feet from ground level. Rechargeable batteries can last up to 800 hours. For best results and optimal use replace the batteries every 12 months.

Works as advertised. A good value.
I had one unit over my garage in a very remote country setting. It's been up for about 6-8 months and no troubles. I just added two more for a run-in horse shelter - also remotely located. The lights on the garage activate as intended to make walking to it in the dark less hazardous. The lights in the shelter I set to manual on-off. The shelter is 24 ft long with one light on each end. I have sufficient light to check hooves, groom, etc. well past sunset. Not being familiar with light ratings for brightness, I probably will get two more for increased illumination. The only (slightly) negative is the set-screw location for locking the solar panel angle. Once attached to a structure, it's a little difficult to loosen-adjust-tighten-test.

worked good for a few days then one night I tried ...
So far, I've only put one up, worked good for a few days then one night I tried to tilt it up a little and it went out and would come back on again, took it down the next morning took it apart and found the battery wiring came unplugged from the circuit board. It looked like the plug on the board and the one on the battery are mismatched, they really don't fit together very well. If it happens again I'll cut the plug off the battery wires and solder the wires to the plug on the board. Mounting was bad, as there was no room to hold the nuts in place while trying to get the screws into the light and bracket. Would of been nice if the holes in the light were threaded instead. Found the easiest way was mount the bracket on a small piece of 1/4" plywood first then mount the light to it, then just screw the plywood & light as one unit under my carport. Anyway it works good now, and is nice and bright. I am pleased with it.

Solar Light does NOT have an ON position as stated, can't be used to provide off grid inside light with outside panel.BAD Change
Li Ion rechargeable 18650 is NOT interchangeable. It is only 2000 mah, and has a solid round protective chip on positive end and a soldered on ground to the battery case under the plastic seal also at the top of the battery. I have bought three identical appearing lights here at Amazon in 2016 and early 2017--all had a three way switch in which the "ON" position was a full time on for the bright light, and you had to turn it to the middle position for off, or to the right position for it to act as a security light. I purposely bought these to use inside a dark log cabin and provide bright light for cooking, or reading, for a couple of hours, and the early ones worked fine. Those also had removable/replaceable 18650 Li Ion batteries; the earliest model used a NiMh hump pack of fairly low mah, but I bought a hump pack battery with triple the mah for a few bucks at eBay and it produced a great long-lasting bright light. These new ones do not have a full time on like they say they do. They will not turn on if there is any daylight on the solar panel--which means I can't flip them on to light up the back room and turn off light the other lights could. (Actually, if you unplug the solar panel jack, they will work inside in daytime). Worse, though these new lights will turn "ON" after dark, they stay on bright for only about a minute, and then change to a dim light energy saver mode. You have to wave your hand to get it to trigger back on. And the light fades too quickly and does not charge enough if it is cloudy or rainy. They should have used a higher capacity 18650 and thicker wires on their solar panel--these are the very minimum gauge and won't carry as much of a charge as the panel will generate. So I suckered out by buying these as a pair and now have two "solar lights" to use indoors in an off-grid cabin--which won't do the job. I wish there were a way to "short-wire" around the dimmer function; and now what will I do to replace the battery which is especially soldered in and has no snap in connectors. I can't add a larger mah 18650 as you could with the others and get more bed-time reading time. These are a bad news "improvement" and act as a security light only. The earlier models were much better, but last year's models had too thin a wire to charge the panels completely, like this one. I just blew $50 for what I thought was a good deal by buying the two pack--which didn't function as described or intended, and doesn't allow you to change batteries yearly as the instructions advise. All of these are very hard to mount--you can't take off bracket and mount it with screws then put light back on--tiny screws/washers drop on ground or floor. The work-around trick is to get a good portable drill and put a piece of wood inside bracket and then drill 1/8" holes in the very ends of the bracket bottom--all the way on the right and all the way on the left. Then if you have an extra long Phillips head driver (about 5" long) in a cordless drill set, it will drive in a Phillips decking screw and mount okay. Throw away the screws it comes with-they are very soft low quality steel and you'll strip the heads. I wish I could buy the ones with the NiMh hump pack batteries. Worse on this purchase, I bought the second to give to a friend as a present for lighting his outbuilding. These are worth paying money not to get in order to avoid the aggravation. I wish Amazon would indicate what the single light brand name is and what this junk is. I'd pay more to get what I need and what I thought I was getting here. I bought after Christmas to install when I went up to cabin in May--too late to return, and now I have the second undisturbed in box, bothered by idea of giving lemon to my friend. No brand name or company mentioned--except 'fulfilled by Amazon.' I wish they'd be honest and put their brand on the stuff they fulfill--as they are endorsing it by selling it themselves, though they won't admit that.

Nice lights.
Nice lights. All were functional upon delivery. Pretty straight forward operation. VERY large rubber coated on/off/auto 3 way toggle switch. If mounted where you can reach it this large switch is very functional. As another mentioned; they are larger than I thought, but that is ok. The solar panel is about the size of an ipad. The power cord disconnects from the light unit to aid in mounting and routing the cord. (Another nice feature.) There must have been a Black Friday sale on these; I purchased two sets (four total lights) @ $40.00 each ($80.00 total). I see they are now $100.00 plus. We'll see how they stand up to Iowa weather! While well made and sturdy; I am sure I would have passed at the 100 dollar price. BUT; if you have no other option (power available) these are nice. The light won't light up a whole yard except in pitch blackness, but for door entry lighting sized area these will work just fine. I intend on using one in my three season porch entry with the solar panel routed through a screen molding. One I intended for use with my motor home camping. While too large to permanently mount; I'm thinking pole mounted now for that application.
