As any keeper of reptiles knows. Mites are one of those dreaded problems. which they may unfortunately come across. Even worse when you have a collection of animals. I tried a few mite spray which involved having to removed my boas until their enclosures were dry and the flumes had gone. But still mites would appear a few days later. So after reading the good reviews on here! Plus doing some research on these snake mite predators. I decided enough was enough and ordered the large tub. Which arrived the next day. Which I couldn’t wait to put these Taurrus predator mites to the test. The content in the plastic tub look similar to saw dust in colour with a clear plastic cup included. Which I used sprinkle in all enclosure. It was a matter of minutes that I saw these tiny little white mite like things actively crawling around. Without bothering the snakes despite crawling around them or on them. Since a few days of them being introduced. Theres been no sign of the other blood sucking mites in sight and no more are my snakes soaking in their water bowls. I would definitely recommend this and will be buying even if it’s just as a precaution mite prevention. My only regret is that I had never ordered these sooner!!!

2nd time ever having to use this after what I can only assume as buying infected bedding. Treated my entire 18 snake collection to be sure, as they are all in the same room, despite the new bedding only being used on 7 and only seeing mites on 2 animals, but Im not taking chances. All traces of mite were gone after about a week. I keep 5 different species, including coloubrids and hognose who can react badly with certain sprays and treatments, and have 2 very young KSB too, so a non chemical treatment is really the only course of action for me. Also love how easy it is, and no additional stress to the snake as all bedding and decor just stay put. 5 star. Happy snakes, happy owner.

Prompt delivery. Very easy to use and cleared the snake mites visibly within days. I used a repeat dose 3 weeks later to ensure no stragglers and have had no issues since. I also use this product periodically due to large collection of animals just to be safe as well as treat any new additions to the collection as a preventative measure. I love that this product is natural and safe due to some of the species I keep being fragile to chemical treatments.

The tub size wasn’t as big as I thought and so I think they’re very expensive. You don’t really get much info with them either to say how long the mites are suppose to live. Fingers crossed they work

its been a week and this product sucks it seems there are more snake mites then when i started the treatment so either this crap aint working or i just got a small bucket full of fine saw dust worth £45 i wish i had got a spray instead at least my snake would have avoided perlonged annoyance. not buying again for sure.

Worked really fast, all mites gone within a week. Used on both young and adult hognoses, boas and pythons with no problems whatsoever. The bedding the mites come in does mould if placed in damp substrate though so keep an eye on high humidity enclosures.

Unfortunately the tub was cracked upon arrival, we used as directed but it made no difference what so ever so I believe the preditor mites were either dead or escaped! Waste of money due to this. I have used them before so I know they do work, I believe this tub didnt because of the damage.
