Improved my cooking tremendously
I couldn’t be happier with the CHEF iQ 2 Probes! These are a fantastic addition to my kitchen tools, making cooking more precise and stress-free. The probes are incredibly accurate, giving real-time temperature readings that ensure my dishes come out perfect every time. Whether I’m grilling steaks or slow-cooking a roast, the dual-probe setup allows me to monitor multiple items or track the ambient temperature of my oven or grill simultaneously. The smart connectivity is a standout feature. Pairing the probes with the CHEF iQ app was seamless, and the app itself is user-friendly with plenty of helpful features like cooking guides and alerts. I love that I can monitor my cooking remotely—no more hovering over the stove or grill! The build quality is also impressive; the probes feel sturdy and durable, and the cables are long enough for convenience. Overall, these probes have elevated my cooking game, making it easier to achieve consistent, professional-quality results. If you’re serious about cooking or just want a reliable tool to take the guesswork out of meal prep, I highly recommend the CHEF iQ 2 Probes!

Awesome BBQ Accessory
Works great in a smoker, very accurate and helps you monitor where you’re at in the smoking process. You’ll need to ensure that foil is not covering the probes as it dampens the signal and also place the unit closer to your smoker to ensure the signal isn’t lost. The battery did good over a 14 hour cook. Much easier than using wired probes and easy to clean. The App is easy to use and lets you know when it’s close to the target temp and when the cook is finished. I also love the ability to dial in the resting period for brisket or other meats that require a rest period. Well worth the cost!

Excellent dual probe and app
I used it for my Thanksgiving turkey. I cut it up and roasted the turkey, focusing on breast temperature and thigh temperature. So 2 probes was necessary. They work well, no disconnecting issues which I hated about Meater+, both probes stayed within 6 degrees of oven temperature analog thermometer. I turned off speaker feature but it was clear and easy to understand within my great room/ kitchen area. Overall happy with it, no complaints & feature rich making it an excellent value. If it last 1 year I’d be happy. This is a 1 use review, not long term. But if you need 2 probes, try it.

Impossibly bad product with bad service. Update 11/2/24
I wish there were negative stars. I wish there was a way to express how absolutely awful this product is. And how awful yet somehow smugly self righteous the company behind the product is. Both of my probes were broken (as described below)The geniuses after weeks sent me 1 (one) probe. So. I’ve been down to 1. I simply don’t use it anymore. Stopped thinking about it because of how bad it is. I made the mistake of trying to use it today after months of ignoring it. Fully charged “replacement probe” base station and probe are connected so long as I don’t do something silly like stick the probe in a piece of meat. Then the connection is lost, base station within 1 foot of the probe. No connection. Super helpful. Into the garbage it goes. Avoid it at all costs. This was somehow highly recommended. I opted for it over the Meater because candidly it was cheaper, well reviewed etc. it was a mistake. When it first arrived it was great. Did a quick cook on my grill with it seemed to work well. The interface was clear if a bit too busy (I don’t need recipes from my thermometer thank you). A week later. I used it to reverse sear a 2.5” thick rib steak. It ruined the steak. Temp reading is easily 10-15% off. So I tried again. This time a brisket. Same result. So I sent a note to their customer service. Explaining the issue. Close to a month later I got a reply. To wit. “can you send a pic of it in boiling water along with what the app shows?” Those pics are attached to this review. Same issue with both probes. You’ll note if you look at the pics that the probe has water boiling at 184F, you’ll also note that the “ambient” sensor (a PId on the non meat side of the probe) sitting in the same boiling pot reads 189F… this is of course why my steaks were ruined. I sent the pics to customer service. A few weeks later a new probe arrived, not a replacement unit. One single solitary #1 probe arrived… it is similarly inaccurate. It also throws a huge amount of faults and warnings. Both probes tell me they’re either out of range or over temperature. I was attempting to use them this evening to roast chicken at 375. The probe struggled to connect to the base station 4 feet away and when it connected threw “over temp” warnings the entire time. I eventually just gave up. Complete trash. Backed by slow unhelpful customer service.

Works until it doesn’t
Bought this based on others reviews. Easy to setup and get cooking. I bought the WiFi hub with two probes. Used about 6 times in three months. Probe 1 stopped working and wouldn’t connect to hub. Hub doesn’t even show it being available. Looked online for solution, no luck. Reset hub several times, no luck. Contacted customer service, be aware their number is automated and couldn’t get in touch with actual person. Have emailed multiple times, after two weeks they said send pics of hub and probe for replacement. Two months later and nothing is getting resolved. Two stars is for the fact that one probe works and the app is nice. I would give four stars had customer service been more responsive and followed through *UPDATE * finally had customer service contact me and they are mailing me a new probe. Updating to 4 stars.

Indispensable
Perfect tool for perfect grilling. Whether it is on a Kamado, a Weber, or the oven, these probes will provide peace of mind that whatever you're cooking will end up at the correct temperature. SO simple to use with the app, it keeps track of the internal temperature and reports it to your phone. No need to open lids or ovens to insert probes, it is already there and needs no tending. The temperature reports are accurate and instant. Once done they are a cinch to clean, just run under the faucet and rub with a soapy sponge, rinse and dry. Simply the best way to monitor your food so you can enjoy your cocktail.
