After about 2 months of use the sound is very crackly and distorted. There are no options for return or repair as the return window ended 1 week after I received the product. Just got to hope Amazon see this review and get in contact. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Adequate but nothing special. *by E***E on 8 December 2014* Received my unit today - the packaging was on a premium quality, and I had high hopes for the product following the hype from the KickStarter campaign.On taking the device out, I noticed the rubber edging didn't sit flush with the speaker itself - a minor cosmetic flaw, but a very noticeable one.Looking under the rubber edging, I can see a mess of glue - for a speaker that claims waterproof and sandproof capabilities, I really expected a better seal.Switching the device on and hooking up my phone was a breeze however.On the other hand, I have to admit I'm quite disappointed with the sound quality. Highs sound muddied rather than crisp and there's no higher end sparkle.In it's defence, the unit produces a fair amount of bass for it's size, and can get quite loud without too much distortion.
