This potato ricer is a gem! First, I hope that whoever came up with the idea of making a potato ricer with holes on the sides of the ricer patented the invention because it is simple and ingenious in that it really makes the ricing effortless when compared to the resistance that I always experience when I use a ricer that only has holes in the bottom. Second, this ricer is substantial, not flimsy at all. Third, it is very versatile. Of course I use it to make mashed potatoes but I am Italian and I use riced potatoes a lot for potato gateau, potato croquettes, and gnocchi. Incidentally, this ricer produces very fluffy riced potatoes whereas all other methods like immersion blender or else produce very gluey mashed stuff. Furthermore, this ricer can be used to make apple and pear sauce, tomato sauce, to mash pumpkin for soups, pies, and to mix into the meals that I prepare for my four legged babies. It can be used to rice other boiled roots or vegetables to make soups and even to mash bananas for banana bread. It would be extremely useful to prepare human baby food too. I cannot express an opinion about the longevity of this ricer yet because this is a recent purchase but it is solidly built and I think that it will last me a long time if I take good care of it. The price is not astronomical either. I hope this review helps.

Really nice potato river. Used for our Thanksgiving mashed potatoes. Smooth texture for the potatoes. Rice made a huge difference. Rice is nice and big, just about any sized potato could fit in there. I have since placed it in my dishwasher for easy clean up. Quality is very good as it is very sturdy. Would highly recommend!

Everyone should have one of these. They are great for apple sauce as well. I like using this instead of a regular potato masher, it works so much better. This one seems sturdy and well made. To clean it just shove it in the dishwasher and forget about it it cleans easily.

Yes! It is a little heavy but it worked very nicely and my mashed potatoes were light and fluffy!!

I've been using a potato masher for so many years mainly because why buy another tool if I can just use tools I already have? But maybe I've been missing out. This was a great tool for amazing lump free mashed patotoes this thanksgiving 2025! It's easy to use and clean and makes a big batch of mashed potatoes faster than using a masher (in my opinion). It doesn't feel flimsy at all, has some weight to it and feels well made. Surely this will last for decades to come!

Sturdy construction, worked as designed for ricing potatoes. Comfortable in my hand and easy to press potatoes through. No problem cleaning. Didn't leave product soaking for hours but rinsed it right after using and washed up by hand.

This has upped my mashed potato game. I love to host family meals and am always looking to find ways to improve my cooking. I've wanted one of these for a while and finally decided to go ahead and purchase this one. It's well made, sturdy and easy to use and clean. I'll never make mashed potatoes with any other tool again. Perfect fluffy potatoes!

Ich brauchte eine neue Kartoffelpresse und muss sagen diese, die ich ausgewählt habe ist wirklich gut. Es geht nichts daneben. Die Presse ist robust und leicht von Hand zu reinigen. Ich benutze die Presse sehr häufig; wenn man sie vorher in heißem Wasser erwärmt ist das Ergebnis noch besser. Ich bin begeistert.

I've always used the traditional potato masher and then I saw this one. I love it! My mashed potato comes out smoother than ever. The quality is good, heavy-duty stainless steel and no sharp edges. It is worth your money!
