I normally do not purchase items with so few ratings. However, after reading the description and the price as well as knowing if they are not what they say I can return them through Amazon. I am extremely satisfied with these. I like the feel of the handle, easy to grip and to hold onto. Quick and easy to install, solid attachment, no wiggle. Extremely sturdy, I weigh 220 lbs. and after attaching to my shower wall I pulled them, tried to shake them, pulled down on them, very sturdy. Yes, I would recommend these. Just make sure before buying you know they will not stick to painted walls, in the description it clearly tells you what surface they can be used on. Make sure the surface is cleaned and dried before installing.Followup, after having these up for a few weeks I went to relocate one of them. It is true what they say, the longer they are up the stronger they become. This is exactly what happened. It is nice to know if I fall and grab on, it is not going to pull off. I am a 220 lbs. man, Again, I highly recommend, and make sure they are where you want them, moving them later will be a little challenging.

I love this grab bar, but note that the vacuum doesn't last forever. For that reason, I renew the suction every time I step into the shower. I use this bar for balance when I pirouette under the water with my eyes closed to rinse the soap off. I don't put full weight on it, even though I could -- it's strong enough to hold an elephant when the suction is "new". After a few days, though, the grip weakens, possibly because the ceramic tile is not perfectly smooth. I thought I was going to have to drill into the tile to mount a safety bar, but this product does the job just fine with no hassle.

As soon as these arrived I opened the package. I had a new medical diagnosis abd needed these for stability in the shower. These are NOT made of a suitable or safe material for grab bars. These bars are hollow, not solid plastic. This means that after being used consistently over time, they are far more prone to cracking or breaking. Please - if you are looking at suction cup grab bars, only purchase ones made of SOLID plastic. And only true metal grab bars bolted to your shower/bath wall can save you from a fall. The suction cup ones are just meant to help a person keep their balance while on a slippery surface. They also lose their suction over time and come loose when you least expect it. So check them weekly. I returned these grab bars the very next day out of safety concerns. Also, the protective plastic covers over the suction cups that was meant to protect them during shipping was literally glued to the suction cups. Would NOT come off no matter what I tried to remove them. Amazon does carry DRIVE brand suction cup grab bars..solid plastic and excellent quality for a good price. Have used DRIVE before but was trying to money with these .... you see how that went. Thank you.

Installation is easy, to a flat smooth surface, you need to make sure that the area that you want the grab bar located is flat, equal to the length of the grab bar you are considering. When you go to install it, first be aware that the thing will adhere to the mating surface instantly, without engaging the suction cups. To engage the suction cups, press the bar firmly to the surface and then flip both levers down and you're done! The suction cups work great, holding the grab bar to the shower wall securely. Well worth the money, good quality, user friendly!

After a month, one of the bars flew off the shower wall during the night. The clear plastic clip that holds the pin for the latch in place, broke off. The latch, pin, and screen flew out and we found it the next morning on shower floor (see pics).This is a dangerous issue.
