I have been using the spud 7 box for a few years now and was finding it a bit too big,this new marine dry box is the exact size that I was looking for it is ideal

A present for our son in law, with which he is delighted, as he has his own boat.

Great tackle box

I purchased this dry bx for use on my Ocean Kayak Trident 13 because there is a small tackle box section behind the seat in this kayak that I measured and realised it fitted this box nicely. The box fits the kayak well and is easily secured with bungees. The box is light, well made and features 3 compartments. One is not waterproof and that is the small clip up section where the handle is. Opening the main box and you have a tray that sits above the bulk of the main compartment. This is good for loose items and fishing tackle. Removing this and I usually have enough room for a head torch, my phone and a hat with room left over. The box has leaked a little but I believe this was down to me opening it on rough sea and not down to the seal failing. I will add a video of the product and it in situ in my Kayak in due course.

Sturdy. Good quality. Good amount of room. Tray is good size. Top compartment is nice addition for small items. Price fluctuates back and forth 5 dollars.

Purchased to store tools on our boat. Perfect size. Water resistance still to be determined. Well-made and a fair price.

I purchased this container for my 20ft 2-gauge Deka jumper cables; 16lbs. The bright orange color will make it easy for others to see when instructing them what to look for. Water proof wasn't mandatory when looking for a simple container. The Flip Top lid storage and inside tray are great to have. The tray is quite deep allowing space for tools/ items. This does make for fitting other items below the tray limited. The Flip Top storage on the lid is great for smaller items and quick access items. Just remember that items will roll around when you open the lid. The focus is on the lid of this container. That will determine if you want to purchase this for the sake of the container itself or not. The material is softer than expected. I'd say comparable to, but a tad harder than Rubbermaid food container lids. I would limit carrying weight to 20lbs max. When you lift/carry the container by the handle the lid flexes. The gasket around the lid no longer seals tight. Items that push up in the lid also prevent the gasket from sealing. Water resistant/proof, no. Move the hinges to the rear and 2 locks up front and the lid will seal better and be water resistant. To further water proof it means moving to a harder material and more supporting ribs on the lid and top of the bin to reduce flex. For being a light duty container, great. Not water proof cost it 1 star since it is advertised as being dry box. Only 4 of 5 stars here. Look for more sturdy containers with gaskets/ seals if you want water proof.
