Mean Mug, Happy customer!
Purchased this when my original went, "kaput!" at 195k miles. Was hesitant at first, typically I go with Honda OEM, but I went to the "Mean Mug" website, and the owners appeared earnest and on the level, and operated out of my home state. At a fraction of OEM cost I decided to give it a try, and am glad I did! It looked exactly like the one I replaced, and after the ECU cycled through its protocols a few times, the check engine light went off and hasn't come back on since in over a 1000 miles on the replacement. Will definitely look to Mean Mug for replacement parts in the future, as they seem to put out very good aftermarket parts at a fraction of the cost, and stand behind what they sell. Thanks guys!Edit: Today 28 May 2018 my check engine light went on and I got the knock sensor code again,p0325, roughly 4 1/2 months and 5,000 miles after replacing my original OEM with this aftermarket O2 senor. I can no longer endorse this sensor, will not bother with the warranty, and will be purchasing an OEM replacement.

It has been only 2 days since putting it in
As soon as I put it in, the check engine light went away.I am talking about a Honda Accord EX 2004, 4 cylinders.FYI to change it yourself, you need a deep 27mm or a deep 1-1/16" wrench socket (I bought mine at home depot). There are some videos on youtube on how to change it.It is best if you get at least two wrench extensions, I got a 3" and a 5".The most difficult part is to remove the connector, the hint is to use both hands. One hand comes in from the right and the other from the left. and then you can easily pull the plug. You will need a flashlight to see where the part is, but then, put it aside and use both hands to remove the plug.Buying all the tools at HD plus this sensor was less than $30. I hear mechanics charge over $300.Any questions????

worked for 2004 CR-V P0325 code
My car couldn't pass emissions until this code cleared. I looked at the videos on youtube and decided that I'd rather have my mechanic do it, but I gave him the part.He told me it was a pain to get to and that the youtube videos don't quite tell the whole picture. It's in the front of the engine buried under the the alternator and power steering pump area. But once done, the code cleared, remained cleared and I passed emissions. Overall quite pleased

works on 2003 CR-V
Cleared repeating code for malfunctioning knock sensor. Replaced malfunctioning sensor in 2003 CR-V with this one. it works. Codes have not re-appeared. Need to remove splash shield to get to and replace sensor. Tight area to work in. Unplug electrical connection. Need small hands or long hooked needle nose to remove electrical connection. Need a 1 & 1/16th inch or 27 mm box wrench to remove and replace sensor. I could not get a socket into the work area. That's all.Edit. This replacement sensor worked great - for about 5 months and then crapped out. Do not recommend. You are not saving any money when you have to do the job again in a few months, and the replacement is a PITA. Sucking it up and replacing with OEM this time. Learn from my mistake.

New unit stripped with very little pressure
Installation is very easy, but when the knock sensor strips the job becomes almost impossible. The location is in a very tight spot(under the intake manifold) so a deep socket and a couple extensions (one long one wont work - not enough room)(radiator is in the way). But now that it's stripped I have to remove the radiator, intake manifolded, etc. Probably 8 hours of work. I can't wait to see the new/bad/stripped sensor. Tightening till it stripped was way too easy. I had no leverage,I was choked up on the wrench and I just kept spinning.

Should have heeded advice from bad reviews
I wasted 43 hours trying to install this sensor. While it appeared to be identical in every way to the old one, I could not get the threads started. Only when I tried with success to reinstall the old one did I figure out this one would never fit! I think I've learned my lesson in buying cheap parts; you get what you pay for and the wasted time made this far more expensive than a higher quality part would have been.

It worked. But concerned
Well it worked after a bit of trouble installing it this is not the fault of the part but it’s location on the engine. I found the other reviews a little disconcerting wish I had payed a little more attention just installed this part hope it doesn’t fail if it does I am not going to seek a warranty replacement if it lasts I will update this review. This is nothing more than a piezo microphone a simple description is a Cristal between two plates hermetically sealed so time will tell willing to help if anyone wants to know more.Well it’s been installed about a week so problems normal timing curve no ping mileage returned to normal

I would highly recommend this product as it is a functional piece for ...
I was searching for a replacement knock sensor since my RSX began throwing the knock sensor code and I looked at multiple knock sensors from the ebay stuff all the way to the more expensive ones. Upon reading several reviews I saw that most folks go with the more expensive brands as they seem to work more reliably. However, after having installed this produce several weeks ago, I no longer have the knock sensor code and my car seems to be running flawlessly. I would highly recommend this product as it is a functional piece for only a fraction of what you would pay for the more expensive sensors.

Avoid this...
Installed by my mechanic, and all codes were cleared. 5 minutes later the knock sensor fails, car begins to experience reduced performance , and all the initial knock sensor symptoms resume. Scanned using ODB scanner and the faulty knock sensor code is back.Defective or just low quality ... Not sure.

Maybe bad quality control?
Judging by other reviews for this knock sensor, there may be a quality control problem here. The one I received works great. I used it to replace a B/O knock sensor on my turbocharged 03 Civic SI. I can verify that it operates properly, and is reading what it should be.It's worked for 1 season so far.

Good price
Was skeptical about buying this but it was definitely worth it considering it’s only 20$CAD, so far it works great on my 02 Acura RSX. Will keep this review updated in the coming months.

Failed after 2 weeks
Bought this for my winter beater because it was the cheapest option around but my knock sensor code came back within 2 weeks. Returned it and bought the Beck Arnley one and no knock sensor codes came back.

It worked in my vehicle, engine light now off and no errors.
The product worked as promised and was much cheaper than the OEMs. Got a shop to install, only $97 with GST.
