A great looking awning, great value that has some assembly challenges
I really liked this item. Amazing value for price. Very sturdy and light in weight. Very well packed. I have bought many Vevor products, some from Amazon and some direct from Vevor and have been very satisfied. The instructions are very minimal with their products, bordering on less than adequate, particularly when assembly is required. In this case, There were 3 strips of metal. One went in the middle of the two carbonate panels and held them together, the edge of the panels going into the slots formed by H shaped strip. Well there was no way these panels were going to slide into these slots nor could they be forced in edgewise. The fit was too tight. I had to take a screw driver and rotate it in the metal slot about every 3 inches in each slot to make it big enough to be able to force the panel in. Once in, both panels would definitely stay in. One of the other strips had the same problem. The next challenge was the slot in each frame that the panel assembly goes into. in each slot, there is a shallow notch that mates up with center strip and secures it in the slot. Unfortunately the slot did not line up with the metal strip so the strip would not go into the frame. So I had to take a very sharp wood chisel and shave each edge of the slot so it would allow the strip to enter the slot. To do the final assembly you need two people one to hold one side while the awning is pressed into the slot of one frame and the 2nd person to hold the other side of the awning. Once one frame is on one person holds it in place while the other part of the awning is pushed int the frame slot. At this point the assembly appears to be complete as far as the instructions are concerned. However if I tried to pick up the assemble one or both of the frames would spring off, as the awning was under pressure from the curvature of the awning panels and was basically spring loaded. So I got out my drill and drilled small holes through the frame at the end of each strip so a small sheet metal screw could be inserted to hold the frames securely to the awning. The assembly was now complete and nice and rigid. I later noticed 4 small screws in the package and assumed they were for securing the frames to the strips. However there were no references to these screws in the instructions and no predrilled holes. I gave this awning a 5 star rating because I liked the final result so much, it was well worth it for me. For others not so mechanically inclined, a handy relative or friend would be a great help.

Almost 5 star.
Awning itself is good. Especially at price point. Pleasing curves of top and supports. Neutral density of polycarbonate is a good choice for light filtering. Provides protection from rain, looks good, and installation was fairly straightforward...but only complaint is hardware. Frame screws broke off at heads with hardly any pressure. Had to drill them out and replace with stainless screws. Provided masonry anchors are absolute junk. Go and buy anchors from hardware store. I’m purchasing another one of larger frame, to cover 6ft patio door. I am pleased with awning overall.

Does the job
The awning is perfect and fits nicely over our window. It took a bit to put together and blocks the sun as intended. The price was right. I would buy this again.

Looks great
Light and relatively easy to install. So far, holing through some snow and cold temps. Can use two kits to make a longer span. Provided screws are for masonry and not for wood. Do your own considerations for what it is being screwed into, as screwing just into siding may not hold load/wind loads. Looks great, and installation is not bad, once you figure it out.

BEWARE - Instructions are NOT acurate
I purchased all three sizes for different doors. I installed the 40x40 with no issues. It was small enough that I assembled unit and held it up to mark the drill hole locations. I next started with the 6 panel, 120" unit. Assembly was very difficult, per the instructions. Aluminum rails are not pre-drilled and very flimsy when driving in self-tapping screws. The aluminum just bends in and does not hold as supposed to. Now to the biggest issue - I pre-drilled the mounting holes exactly per the instructions (spacing at 91.5cm ((converted to 36.02")). I put the panels up to attach, and the holes were nowhere close to being correct. The correct distance should read 38". I contacted technical support that they submitted a support ticket. The response is in the middle of the night because the manufacturer is in China. After about 6 emails, back and forth with them asking for more information, they respond with the following: -------[vevor.com]------- Dear Customer, Thank you for your letter. We are sorry that our instructions need to be optimized. Could you please try drilling a few more holes to use this product? Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. If you have any questions please contact us again. This is not an acceptable response and I will be returning the units. Buyer beware. If you do buy it, put it together and measure yourself for the real size of the total unit and spacing for drilling.
