Happy with my purchase

Wrong voltage
This is being sold as a 12v servo when in fact it is an 8.4 volt servo.

Powerful
I've always used reject RC aeroplane servos for my robotic projects. Over the years I've got a few that are sluggish around the centre, are a little noisy or have other issues I don't want in my aeroplanes. I got this one for a camera project that uses a couple of 12kg standard servos. The servo arrived in a bag with bagged accessories and a couple of metal brackets, one to mount it in place of mounting lugs on the case and one to connect the output. This second one was quite bent and twisted. It will require careful straightening with the help of a vice.I was quite pleased to find the output shaft was the right size for my most common horns, 25 spline 5.92mm. It comes with a JR style plug on a Futaba coloured lead. I like the metal output arm with the pivot point on the opposite side of the servo to the output shaft. The lead is a good length. In use its very powerful and not too noisy considering the metal gears. There is very little play in the output shaft and the servo centres well. Its not fast and not the smoothest operating but its capable of applying a lot of force. I'm happy with it but disappointed with the bent metalwork. The speed of operation is the same as the 12kg servos I use.

Yes, a truely high torque servo - full metal and reliable!

Strong
Works well. I mounted an outrunner motor & propeller to it and it powers & steers my airboat. Loads of fun!

Robust and surprisingly reliable for the price
No complaints about this servo -- for the price, it's unbeatable.I've been using it, often near its torque limit, for about 4 months, total cumulative operation (i.e. rotation) time ~ 40 hours. Still working fine, although the gears are starting to make slight grinding sounds now at some positions. While I haven't precisely measured and validated the claimed torque, I can tell from intuition that it's at least not off by an order of magnitude.
