Coolant r, Antifreeze r High Accuracy Dial Type Anti-Freeze Coolant r Car Battery Liquid Densitometer 6/12/24V

I live in the Rocky Mountains area where it can get really cold at night. My older Ford Explorer was going to spend the night outside my garage as I had a visiting guest whose shiny new car was in my garage, taking the place of the older Ford. The weather report showed a really cold cold-front was to pass thru my area. It was going to drop down to minus 20F. For peace of mind, I wanted to make sure that the antifreeze in thr Ford’s coolant system would handle the impending cold weather.. Thus little device showed me that the antifreeze was in good shape. Good down well past minus 20F. A few bucks for peace of mind. It works easily. Nice. 5 stars. Good purchase. To be truthful, when I unscrewed the radiator cap I figured I was in good shape coolant-wise. The coolant was bright electric green in color. Still it was nice to confirm that the coolant was good down to atleast minus 45F. Piece of cake. For years my Ford had spent its nights in my garage in winter. So I hadn’t been concerned about the ability of its coolant to withstand cold, cold weather. Cheap way to a sense of well being. Driving 10 miles to the local auto shop and asking them to test the coolant wasn’t a great option. I would have tipped them the cost of this device and the engine would have been too hot to unscrew the radiator cap without causing a mess and loosing a bunch of coolant.

Works great. Nice add to the toolbox for people that work on their own cars.

Works well, reasonably priced. Reason for not giving a five, the suction tube not long enough to reach the coolant in the overflow tank. Have to take radiator cap off to get the coolant.
