I purchased this inverter for my trip to New Zealand to use in my rented camper van. I wanted to rely on my own trusted charger for my laptop and camera. Although the camper had solar power, I decided to bring this inverter for peace of mind, as I was concerned about power fluctuations that could damage my batteries or equipment due to voltage instability. This inverter is versatile, one USB-C port, one standard USB port, and a UK socket, making it suitable for a variety of devices. I used it in the camper van for about two months, and it worked flawlessly. It charged my laptop, phones, fan, and torch without any issues. The inverter is lightweight and compact, making it perfect for travel or use in the car to gain 240v. I packed it in my checked luggage for the flight, and it took up minimal space. Overall, I absolutely loved it,it’s a reliable and convenient device that I’d highly recommend for anyone travelling or needing an efficient charging solution on the go.

I don’t pretend to understand how this works but it does. I needed to charge my laptop in the car, this does the job perfectly. Pretty much silent, haven’t noticed it getting hot (my laptop charger is only 65w though). If I was being really picky I’d put the socket the other way up so it can sit flat and put more space between the sockets as when I plug my laptop charger in it slightly obscures one of the USB ports but that is me being super critical. Overall a great bit of kit.

I bought the Odoga 300W Digital Power Inverter to power a laptop using an original 240W charger. On paper this should have been within limits, but in real use it was a complete failure. From the start, the inverter behaved suspiciously. When I first plugged in the laptop charger, the power adapter made a strange buzzing/whining noise. Shortly after powering on the laptop, everything shut down. The inverter stopped working completely, and the vehicle socket also stopped powering any other devices. Worse still, my laptop (ASUS ROG Strix G513R) will no longer turn on, even though it had a full battery at the time. This suggests unstable output, poor protection, or a low-quality modified sine wave that is not suitable for high-power electronics. The advertised 300W rating is misleading. This inverter clearly cannot handle real-world loads safely, especially sensitive and expensive equipment like laptops. There is no clear warning about startup power spikes, waveform type, or suitability for high-draw chargers. Bottom line: unreliable, poorly protected, and potentially dangerous for electronics. I would not trust this inverter with anything valuable. Spend more money and buy a proper pure sine wave inverter from a reputable brand.
