I've repurchased this item. This has worked well for my dog who refuses to go out in the rain. It gets gross and I replace it every winter but she uses it. I have to empty it regularly and it benefits from a good hose down every few weeks but that's to be expected. Good size for my 20 pound rat terrier. Cheaper than what I have found locally.

The plastic try part is great for cleaning but as soon as my dog uses turf there is a terrible odor of like chemicals almost bleach like that is overpowering. Tried many different ways to clean and change pads under and nothing helps. Do not recommend.

Purchased the pad with hopes of helping house train our puppy. Was excited to end the peeing on other areas of the house. It’s a good idea trying to mimic the grass outside, but there is a big flaw in my opinion. The pad’s dimensions below the fake grass's do not match up with the pan that all layers rest on. There is significant overlap by the pad over the edges of the bottom pan which causes the grass and pad to move around, a lot. I found myself having to adjust the pad constantly and finally decided to just use paper towels down bottom and use the grass without the pad so it would stay in place. Again, good idea, just needs to be dialed in a bit.

Okay, so basically it’s a mini cheap layer of turf. The tray and inserts and overall design is sound. Quality is generally okay. It does what it says it will but… I don’t care how much you wash it or with what products and sprays, it will smell to high heaven. I mean, I don’t think I could have poured more fabreeze, Lysol, bleach, and bath and body works products on than I did and ultimately it just smelled like pee and poop. One morning I swear I could see a yellow mist rising from it as it penetrated my olfactory nerve and rendered it inoperable for two days. I thought it was maybe COVID but I could still taste ammonia. In short, great idea but take it from me, stick to disposable pads or ones you can run through the washing machine.

My pup would not use it so gave it to another new puppy owner.
