This is battery operated so it can be carried and placed anywhere. There is no need for a plug. The alarm works and it is easy to program, turn on, and off. The little light up creeper is great for a quick nightlight look. The numbers also light up the screen so it can be seen in the dark. It plays a cute little Minecraft noise for the alarm and my nephew truly loves his. It's traveled from room to room as he carries it in the mornings and evenings to different rooms. It's not heavy at all and pretty light when carried. The display size is large, enough to read it from across a bedroom. It's not the loudest alarm, but it works.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I chose this item for an eight year old birthday gift! He likes Minecraft and I thought this would nice for him to use daily. Alarm clock: The color is a nice green. The plastic is okay. It could have been a little better quality. Look: It looks nice because it does look like Minecraft. Functionality: It’s a practical gift. I don’t know how easy it will be to use? I’m giving the gift to the grandparents to give to the birthday boy. I don’t know yet how the sound quality will be? I did not hear from the recipient yet. Readability: Numbers are big enough to see.

We were needing a birthday present for my son's classmate who is a Minecraft fan. We wanted something that wasn't the usual fare available locally and fun for the child. This item fit the bill perfectly! I was concerned that it might be too small and thus unimpressive, but the item is as described and the birthday kiddo loved it. Now my son wants one too!

My son is a big Minecraft fan so this was a big hit. However, the numbers are difficult to read at certain angles and the light either turns off by itself or stays on all night randomly. Besides that it is a cute little clock for Minecraft fans.

I like it

I thought the product worked fine the first day I received it since we set it up and tested the alarm right away. We threw away the box after testing it (big mistake). Every single day the clock seems to reset. The clock time changes to a random time, the mode changes to 24 hour instead of the 12 hour mode I program it to, and the alarm I set turns off. I don't know why this happens. I've had to set it up every single day since getting it. I've even tried replacing the batteries. I wish I kept the box so I could return this defective item for a refund. Waste of money. Keep the box just in case!!

I want to give it a higher rating but, I had to get mine replaced when it came in. There was a large crack in the creeper head, scratches down the side, a dent in the battery holder, and small scratches in verious places. The box came in unsealed and looked like it had already been opened before. The replacement came and looked much better, still some minor things and a very obvious issue with their production was shown. Everyone of them are going to have small scratches down the seam. Their production process is at fault for that. Some good things, the light is brighter than I expected that times out after 2 mins to save battery. It plays music from minecraft when the alarm goes off. Not sure if there is a volume control though, its a little quiet compared to my cell phone. Over all my 5 year old LOVES it. So despite its flaws it seems like a good product. If I could Id give this a 3.5 because it got me a "you're the best dad ever" and a hug in the morning.
