My First Piano Lessons is a great book for beginners - both young and old! We purchased for our 7-year-old granddaughter. Instructions and diagrams are easy to follow; songs are familiar and kid friendly. Teaches hand placement and encourages good posture. Graphics are cute and add to overall appeal. Definitely recommend this book.

Great piano book for beginner kids. The layout is very appealing, the colors make it atractive and the names of the notes written on the note heads make it easy to read. Great book to start your kids on the piano.

This book teachers hand placement, note recognition and meaning as well as songs. I haven't played a piano or keyboard in over 15 years and when I did the most I could play was mary had a little lamb. This book maked teacher my child a breeze and she smiles and is elated everytime she hears herself playing a note and it sounds like real music.

Super simple and basic. Perfect for young kids in elementary grades from 5 and above. It's even good for adults who need things broken done in the simplest form. I usually get books meant for kids when I'm trying to learn something new like playing an instrument or learning a new language. It's the easiest way to learn anything new. This will teach you how to play the most basic songs with one hand (the right hand), and at the end of the lesson you should be able to master playing London Bridge using two hands, playing the Treble Clef and Bass Clef.

Great beginner book. My 8 and 9 year old sons were able to work through this mostly on their own to start figuring out the basics before we start lessons. Has 10 lessons and the wording is kid/user-friendly

Easy to understand for someone who has never played! I’m learning along with my little one!

Our 6 year old taught herself to play the piano with this book after being put off for a year by a bad teacher and an even worse book. This book is excellent. The way it explains the concepts, the graphics, the songs, it’s almost perfect. I just wish it spent more time having letters on the notes, and used a staff from the beginning — we had to draw one ourselves on the first few pages!

This book`s instructions are easy to follow and fun to work with.
