These things are awesome! The first taste was weird but then I got to craving it and don’t even notice that it was a bit weird. Now it tastes normal! I’ve actually stopped ordering g them for a moment because they’re so good!

I've tried almost all of Quest's products, including two varieties of this new protein cookie so far -- the peanut butter and double chocolate chip flavors. I think the double chocolate chip cookie is Quest's best product ever. Even with my overly sensitive taste buds, I think this is one spectacular-tasting cookie in its own right, protein or not. It has the perfect texture. It smells like chocolate, it has a pleasant mouthfeel and it's not too crumbly. Even though it's slightly dry, it's every bit as satisfying as standard double chocolate chip cookies that are packed with loads of empty calories. A quibble I have with all these Quest cookies is that they contain only 15g of protein instead of the usual 20g or more that are packed into Quest's phenomenal protein bars. And, each cookie will cost you 250 calories. And speaking of cost, they're a jaw-dropping $2.08 apiece when you buy a $24.99 box of 12. That calorie count of 250 is borderline reasonable, but the $2.08, and that's a "discounted" price -- they're $2.50 apiece retail (when you buy a box for $29.98) -- is a tremendous amount to pay for one cookie. C'mon, Quest. Let's hope there are deeper price cuts in the offing. I did notice the peanut butter cookies are cheaper, now on sale here at Amazon for $20.99/dozen. Each of the cookies contains a lot of fat, too (16g, compared with the 7g of fat in Quest S'mores protein bars), but for me, my macro method of calorie allocation (39% fat, 27% carb, 34% protein) requires extra fat in many situations where my menu contains too much protein or carbohydrates. If Quest could make the peanut butter cookies (and the other two flavors, which I haven't tried yet) taste as good as this double chocolate chip flavor, the entire line of the company's new protein cookies would be a triumph. As it stands, I'll gladly grant the double chocolate chip flavor five stars!

5 stars when fresh, 1 star on consistency. We really wish they would come up with a cookie combination pack! We have had the chocolate cookies on AutoShip and most months, if it weren’t for fulfilling 4 people’s diverse dietary needs, we would have canceled. The first order contained good tasting cookies, liked by all. Wow. What a win! The next few were honestly stale. I was considering other options and forgot to cancel to be brutally honest. Still consumed, but not by all. This last order though…was amazing! Soft, fresh, and delicious. They fill a necessary need for certain macros and a sweet treat for us. We did try the macadamia white chocolate, but they had a hint of chemical taste. Gross! Now I’m nervous about the next order… These have been so delicious.

I buy quite a bit of the Quest line of snack items to help me cut sugar out of my diet. My favorite by far however are these cookies! Their snack bars are nice, but the textures can be off-putting, focusing more on sweetness than form. These cookies however have an excellent mouthfeel, which is important because the feeling of biting into a soft, fresh baked snack with chunks of chocolate is a huge part of the experience. The flavor is impressively close to a real cookie as well. It is sweet with a nice cocoa flavor, and the chocolate chips feel "melty" in the mouth. Of course it isn't exactly like Grandma's home baked cookies. The chocolate bits do have a "cool" sensation to them (caused by the sugar alcohols) and the aftertaste is a little off, but doesn't last long. If you need to cut back on sugar whether for medical reasons, or for dieting, then these are an excellent way to keep those sweet cravings from causing you to lose control. One word of warning however: The high fiber and protein content will make your farts... potent and frequent. If you're married, for the sake of your spouse, don't eat these before bed!

I've tried 100's of protein cookies, bars shakes ex... my years of training and just looking for a quick snack with as little sugar as possible so thought I'd give these a try seeing I've heard some positive about them . Just to be clear this is the Double chocolate quest cookie I know sometimes they mix reviews so I wanted to make sure you guys got the right info for the right product. I'll get straight to the point this cookie is very soft , very dry and taste just like a chocolate protein shake..it's so dry infact we recomend a glass of fat free milk or almond milk if you prefer to go with this cookie . The taste was very average to me and not a real wow this taste like a cookie I'm sold . Good thing I got this at a discounted price of 11.83 for the 12 pack because these are definitely not all that great or worth retail cost. I'll be trying snickerdoodle next after I cancel my subscription order because these are definitely not in the winners category for me they are just ok at best! anyone who tells you otherwise are being payed to do so . 27 year vet of taking protein! giving you some facts enjoy live long stay strong :-)

The regular chocolate chip quest cookie is amazing, so I thought double chocolate might be even better. I was completely wrong. It is like cardboard. I suffered through eating it and was relieved when the box was finished

For a low-carb protein cookie, the taswte/texture are pretty good. Expiration date 14 months out

Verdict: If you want a protein snack that actually tastes like a 'cheat meal' but keeps the sugar low, this is it. Great for a quick snack on the go or a post-workout treat.

Tastes even better than the normal Quest Chocolate Chip cookie imho. The only drawback is the extremely high level of saturated fat so I only eat one once a week.
