Value for Money and More …
This was the first USB-based Oscilloscope I have experimented with. The amount of functionality packed in this tiny device is mind-blowing. Reproducing the same functionality in a traditional setup will cost far north of £1000 and consume a lot of desktop space.Although this one packs more than half a dozen features, I spent most of my time with Oscilloscope coupled with a Waveform generator and Protocol analyser. Though you could use the dual channel scope input with MTE cables, I find it much easier to use it with the BNC adapter and cables, fortunately, both of which are included in this bundle. BNC Adapter can also support over 30MHz bandwidth for input channels, while MTE only supports up to 9MHz.It also comes in handy when you use Network Analyser, which often demands higher bandwidth. I also used AD3 for debugging communication problems in SPI connections using a protocol analyser and found the experience exceptionally good. Apart from SPI, it also supports I2C, UART and a dozen more, though the former two are more than enough for my requirements.Waveform software works well and packs tons of customization you can tinker with. As some one mostly used digital oscilloscopes with knobs before, controlling GUI using a mouse took a couple of hours to get hang of it. One cool feature is that you can write custom scripts to automate a lot of manual tasks. I was also surprised to see it uses JavaScript for Scripting rather than a custom language that I have to learn. It is one of those features that I can see myself using often in future.I would recommend this for any one who is starting up with embedded and Communication systems who does not intend to spend a fortune on setting up a lab. It can become extremely handy for serious engineers and technicians who have to travel a lot for on-site inspections of systems provided that your task does not demand higher bandwidth.

staggeringly versatile piece of kit
i will start this out by stating i have never used anything like this and many of its features are completely out of my knowledge range.so from the perspective of someone almost going in blind:as a diagnostic tool it could be one of the most valuable pieces of kit you could have. but what potential this has for teaching goes far beyond and for someone learning this could be an entire rabbit-hole on its own. most of the interface is fairly intuitive although some pop up guide either hovering or right clicking a setting (a common feature on a lot of complicated software) to explain what a setting is or does would really help although the main help guide is not terrible.i have not even been able to scratch the surface of what this can do but i am aware of the previous model to this so i expect more in depth guides and how-tos to appear for this one over the next few months on youtube and i look forward to understanding some of the more advanced features.

Oscilloscope
Merci d'avoir lu.
