I’ve been using the Osmo Mobile 6 for the past few weeks, and my first impression was how compact and sturdy it feels in hand. Clipping my phone into the magnetic mount was straightforward, and the fold-out design makes it easy to stash in a camera bag. The adjustment wheel lets you fine-tune balance quickly, though it took me a couple of tries to get perfect centering. In day-to-day shooting, the three-axis stabilization lives up to its promise—walking shots come out noticeably smoother than handheld footage. ActiveTrack 6.0 generally follows moving subjects well, but it can lose focus under low light or when multiple people cross the frame. The DJI Mimo app unlocks fun modes like hyperlapse and DynamicZoom, yet its layout feels cluttered at times, and a few functions occasionally lag or crash on my older phone. Battery life hovers around six hours of moderate use, which covers a full afternoon of casual filming but falls short if you’re planning all-day shoots. The built-in tripod and quick-release switch between portrait and landscape in seconds, making it an easy companion for both video and stills. At roughly 300 grams, it’s light enough to hold for extended periods, though heavier phone setups can introduce a slight pull. Overall, the Osmo Mobile 6 delivers noticeably steadier footage and unlocks creative modes that my phone alone can’t achieve. The learning curve is real—expect to spend an afternoon exploring menus and tweaking settings—but once you’ve dialed it in, it becomes a reliable tool for cleaner, more polished clips.

I couldn’t be happier with my DJI Osmo Mobile 6! From the moment I unboxed it, I was impressed by the build quality and sleek design. It’s compact, easy to carry, and sets up in seconds — perfect for travel, vlogging, or everyday moments. The stabilization is insanely smooth. Whether I’m walking, panning, or even running, the footage stays buttery and professional-looking. The tracking feature is incredibly smart — it locks onto my subject and follows seamlessly, which is a huge help when I’m filming alone. I also love how intuitive the controls are. The built-in extension rod is a great bonus, and the DJI Mimo app adds even more creative options and templates. This gimbal has seriously upgraded the way I shoot Reels and videos. Brilliant gadget. I use this for a few tasks, it's tracking is great even on older devices like an S9. The issue with using older devices is the framerate limits, but you still get good video. The app is ok, I'd say it's far less annoying than some. The gimble hardware itself is very well designed, to the point they managed to hide an extension in the grip! The servos/motors are good and smooth with pretty good response, actually holding the gimble is comfortable, in certain conditions I might consider something to cover the grip. The tripod base is good for tables, the gimble is happy on most standard tripods too, The mount is great, once you get used to getting the phone in and out. I'd not recommend using a bare phone, have at least an edge case. I've recorded for over 4 hours and the battery has been fine.

With this Osmo gimbal the battery life is not really accurate it says it lasts 6-8 hours but I can get a good 4hours out of it, when the battery starts getting low the gimbal starts to shake and the video is quite bad (stability is not good when battery is low ) the design is very slick , but it does the job , the functions on it I’m still learning , value for money is good

I purchased this as an upgrade from my OM3 and have as yet used it a handful of times, all I can say is WOW!!.Still finding my way around its modes and I'm finding it amazing.Battery life is really very good.Tracking is brilliant and when used with the Mimo App its a lot more stable in its connection and doesn't "Drop out" as I found with my older OM3.The extendable selfie stick gives you a little more reach which is a nice touch, however on the downside, but only for me, when fully extended I find difficulty in balancing the unit in my hand,I have arthritis in my hands and wrists and the weight of my iPhone on it makes it a little top heavy for me to hold comfortably.As I say thats the only problem that I've got, however with lock mode on it seems to cope with my own problem.Its an excellent design and its size makes a comfortable hold when not extended.If you want a gimbal to get into video, then get this...It's worth it 5 Stars *****

Ich nutze ihn sowohl privat als auch beruflich und weiß gar nicht wie ich vorher Videos aus der Hand machen konnte... Sehr robust, liegt gut in der Hand und ist auch bei längere Benutzung nicht zu schwer. Auch ohne große Einarbeitungszeit werden einfache Videos damit sofort deutlich besser (weniger Wackler und immer ein grader Horizont) Funktioniert (in den Grundfunktionen) auch ohne die entsprechende DJI Mimo App, diese erweitert den Funktionsumfang aber nochmal erheblich um Funktionen wie Zoom per Drehrad oder Objekttracking. Grade das Zoomen per Drehrad ist natürlich deutlich flüssiger und gleichmäßiger als das Wischen mit den Fingern auf dem Display. Außerdem hat die App unzählige Erklärvideos, die sowohl den Umgang mit allen Funktionen toll erklären, als auch viele nützliche Tipps zum Filmen geben. Hinweis: Zumindest unter iOS muss die gewünschte Videoauflösung direkt in der App separat eingestellt werden (Standardeinstellung ist "nur" FHD) Der Gimbal bietet verschiedene Modi der Stabilisierung der Handbewegung oder auch die Möglichkeit die Ausrichtung vollständig über den "Steuerknüppel" zu kontrollieren, damit sind auch super gleichmäßige Schwenkbewegungen aus der Hand möglich. Darüberhinaus besteht die Möglichkeit über das Standardgewinde an der Unterseite entweder den mitgelieferten 3-Fuß anzuschrauben oder jedes handelsübliche Stativ. Ein paar ganz kleine Kritikpunkte (aber das ist Jammern auf hohem Niveau): - Das Tracking von schnellen Objekten, mittels der App, könnte schneller und genauer klappen, ist aber möglicherweise auch von der Rechenleistung des Handys abhängig. - Die Nachführung bei schnelleren Dreh und Schwenkbewegungen ist manchmal etwas unvorhersehbar. Da ist es teilweise nicht einfach das aufgenommene Objekt immer mittig zu halten. Die Nachführgeschwindigkeit lässt sich zwar einstellen, aber ich habe da noch nicht das richtige Setting für mich gefunden. - Das kurze Ablegen des Gimbals (wenn man mal beide frei Hände braucht) ist etwas tricky, man müsste den Gimbal vorher ausschalten, ansonsten zuckt er unkontrolliert bis irgendwann die Sicherheitsabschaltung aktiviert wird. Einziger größerer Kirikpunkt: Die Akkuanzeige, ist am Gerät leider nur eine grün/gelb/rot Anzeige. Auch in der App ist diese nicht viel genauer. Hatte bei längeren Drehs schon das ein oder andere Akkuproblem. Man muss natürlich dazu sagen, das die Laufzeit ansich sehr lange und vorallem deutlich länger als die Akkulaufzeit der meisten Handys ist und auch das Aufladen geht echt fix. Man sollte sich nur angewöhnen, dann gleich beides zu laden. Hier wäre eine Prozentanzeige (zumindest in der App) echt hilfreich. Alles in allem, eine wirklich sinnvolle Ergänzung für jeden Amateur und Semi-Profi der viel mit dem Handy filmt. Ich nutze ihn seit einem halben Jahr fast täglich und bin immnoch begeistert wie smooth das Videomaterial ist, was dabei rauskommt. Für alle die, die noch unschlüssig sind ob sie das Teil kaufen sollen, tut es einfach. Selbst ein Urlaubsvideo sieht damit viel besser aus. Hätte ich ihn nicht schon, würde ich ihn direkt kaufen.

Really easy to use and a good App. I actually used it for an online VC presentation via Zoom initially providing a site Tour for 10 people. Its default settings meant that it would cut out unless filming. Somehow I managed to stop it doing that in the Zoom call. Not sure how. It worked great and meant the viewers didn't get dizzy from jerky movements. Since then I have made some video content and it's awesome. The features are good for image stabilization and the App allows for further camera functions to manually control the iPhone 14 Promax. The extendable Self Pole is also a good feature to get more angles and movement during filming.
