Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1 (Xbox Series X|S)

First and foremost, this game works well for people who haven't played Metal Gear Solid in the past or have only played Metal Gear Solid 5. People who have the legacy collection, HD collection, or something of that nature will not get a better experience with this. Actually, for those people who have the collections for the previous-gen consoles, I recommend not getting this version. Nonetheless, the game is great for people who are first-time players or want to have it on the newer-gen consoles. I have been having a blast with the game, and the price is well worth it since it comes with 3 great games.

A must have for any Metal Gear fan!!!

Liking what I’m hearing about the newest game update that is live. It’s live on PC anyways. And soon to come to consoles. I have the PS five version digitally, but wanted to get this since it was on sale for $20 on the series X. I like the idea of having this to play on every console available because I go through them every couple of years. And although indeed, there may be newer and more intuitive games out there, none compare to the memories and the place in my heart that this series has built over the course of decades now. I understand there were some hiccups at launch, and that the Nintendo version suffered greatly. But this was still playable, even with my console disconnected from the Internet so that it does not download updates. That’s just a test so that should the Internet, die, or support cease, there’s still the bare bones here to play and play well. For 20 bucks this is great bang for the buck. Especially in this case being able to play metal gear solid for PS1 on an Xbox in this great modern era. Unless you are a retro Junkie that must play on the classic consoles, this is the best way to access the game. Xbox or PlayStation five. And I am picking up a copy for the switch to mess around with, because if I can truly have this portable, and they have at least brought it up to snuff to anywhere close to the original versions of the game, but on switch, that will still be a blessing.

While the quality of the ports may not deserve the highest of praise (at least at launch) the # of games themselves and the access to different versions of them this really does deliver on the collection aspect also the launchers had some nice touches.

Game looks great, if your a fan it's a great grab. The first game maintains its ps1 graphics, it's actually impressive how old school it looks in HD. If you looking at it, I think you've already made up your mind. Just do the thing.

Never played Metal Gear growing up and it's great to get so much of the series on one disc. Definitely can see how metal gear solid built such a legacy.

Brought back memories from when i was a kid! Never got to play MG3 or the first Metal gears from nintendo. This made me get Peace Walker afterwards. Cant wait for next volumn. Havent played MGS4 yet! Hope thats to come! I heard there are others? 🧐

I have loved the Snake games since the PS1 and so looked forward to reliving this on current day consoles. They are as great as the day I played them. Great collection, get this if you can. I also prefer getting my games on disc feels like I actually own it rather than digital where you are just borrowing it!
