How is stainless steel ear cleaner used?

The 4 piece set includes an ear cleaner. It's inserted into the ear carefully & rotate & it will grab hold of the wax when you remove. Hope this helps.

do they slip when cutting, hard to handle?

I have not experienced the clippers slipping when clipping nails. For me, the clippers are easy to handle.

Can the end of the nail file be used to clean nails?

Not really. It is wide and thick which makes cleaning difficult. I found another thin one to clean nails. There is a space or two for it. Other than that I am very happy with this set. One of the best I have purchased.
