Wonderfully warm, rich sound. Absolutely flawless construction and use. Crisp but not overly so. Using with a Marantz PMD-something (the one with multiple heads) field recorder for a podcast and these are great. I grew up with cassettes and these really do a good job of recreating the old magic. I'm in the process of stocking up, they're solid.

I was pleasantly surprised by the RTM C60 audiotapes excellent quality! On my AKAI GX-R99 deck, the noise level was -55 dB, which is an impressive result for a Type I tape. I also tested the overload capability, and up to +3 dB the distortion stayed below 3%. Overall, I am very, very satisfied with this tape. Thank you, and keep up the great item!

These cassette tapes work and recording is clear, but I don't consider them to be high quality. They are 60 minute so cassette player/recorder handles them easier. They are general purpose tapes voice and music.

Perfect, just what we needed for an older unit we are still using and works fine. These cassettes may be obsolete to some but were the exact thing needed for our purpose. It is of good quality, the price point was good and the sound quality perfect. It is perfect for our needs.

I just got these RTM "Type One" C60 tapes (i think they used to be called RTM FOX tapes but they have since dropped the "Fox" moniker) in this afternoon and have put it through a simple test of mine. Basically i have a wave file that i play and record onto the tape i test on. And the output of that tape player while on monitor mode is fed into a solid state recorder (Denon DN-700R). I've done them with TDK SA and D tapes. These RTM "Type One" tapes sounds nigh identical to my early to mid 90's TDK D90 tapes. To the point where i was switching them back-and-forth in Audacity using its "solo" button and i couldn't keep track of which was which. If you want a good quality type 1 cassette audio tape like it was in the early 90's then these RTM "Type One" tapes are about as close as we're getting in this day and age that are still being made new. I would choose these cassettes over the Maxell UR's that are still being sold in some stores today. Those UR's are okay, and the noise/hiss is about the same or maybe worse on the UR, but its the drop-outs in audio that kill those newer UR's. I'll definitely be supporting RTM with these "Type One" C60's (or C90's). Their price is high per-tape but somewhat expected for a tape with a Made in France label thats also made new today. EDIT: If you would like to hear how these RTM "Type One's" sound compared to other type 1 cassettes such as the TDK D-series, you can search for "Mobius's Compact Cassette Tests" on youtube. There will be a couple comparisons with and without noise-reduction used as well.

Aún no he comprobado grabar los casetes, pero a simple vista, y sin abrirlos, se notan rayones al casetes que vienen de fábrica. Esto refleja un bajo control de calidad. He comprado casetes Maxel que son más baratos y están impecables. Update: grabe un mixtape (use un Tascam202mkVII) y la calidad es regular. Recomiendo mejor los Maxell. Son más baratos y de mejor calidad (en la foto se muestra un comparativo y la calidad de la cinta, mientras más oscura, es mejor, y la diferencia es muy notoria entre el RTM y el Maxell)

Für die reale und faire Beurteilung der Qualität dieses Magnetbandes , sind die Verwendung eines vernünftig gewarteten HIFI Tapedecks , mit exakter Azimut und BIAS Einstellung unabdingbare Voraussetzungen ! Bevorzugt mit Hicom Rauschunterdrückung getätige Aufnahmen , dankt dieses hervorragende Eisenoxidband ( BASF remake ! )mit sehr guter Höhenaussteuerbarkeit . Nobel auch ist die Verpackung : Statt unsinnig doppelt in Kunstofffolie verschweißt , gibt es hier eine gut recyclebare Pappschachtel und die Kassettenhüllen sind mit einem Klebebutton versiegelt . Es bleibt nur zu hoffen , das der Hersteller sich mit dem Verkauf am Markt halten kann und zu träumen , das irgendwann genug Geld vorhanden ist um mit der Produktion von Cromedioxid Bändern zu starten . Klare Kaufempfehlung !

Hier geht es um die RTM Kassette in der 60 Minuten Variante. Man kann den Preis natürlich nicht mehr mit damaligen Angeboten vergleichen. Damals gab es zu dem Preis die beste Chrom Kassette oder auch schon bereits Metal Band. Aber die Zeiten haben sich geändert. Doch seit einiger Zeit ist analog wieder angesagt. Erfreulicherweise gibt es nun auch wieder neue Kassetten zu kaufen. Die meisten sind qualitativ allerdings höchstens Mittelmaß. Diese Kassette, made in France, hebt sich qualitativ ab. Mechanisch scheint sie präzise zu sein, sie lässt sich geräuscharm spulen und bei der reinen Wiedergabe ist sie sehr leise. Klanglich kann man absolut nicht meckern. Die Kassette rauscht natürlich hörbar mehr als eine Chrom Kassette. Um das Rauschen zu reduzieren, kann man der Aufnahme mit einer Rauschunterdrückung experimentieren. Aber die Pegel sind gleichmäßig und aussteuern lässt sich ohne Rauschunterdrückung bis etwa plus 2 Dezibel. Es lassen sich jedenfalls Aufnahmen erstellen, die recht nahe am Original sind. Die schlechte Bewertung von einem anderen Rezensent kann ich nicht nachvollziehen. Möglicherweise hat ein mangelhaftes Ergebnis bei der Aufnahme eine andere Ursache. Amazon hat die Kassette übrigens schlecht verpackt, so daß die Hülle beschädigt war. Dafür allerdings kein Stern Abzug, weil es ja hier um das Produkt geht. Meiner Meinung nach die zur Zeit qualitativ beste erhältliche Kassette. Zwar deutlich teurer als die meisten anderen Kassetten, aber dafür bekommt man eine ordentliche Qualität, wie in alten Zeiten, also vergleichbar mit damals erhältlichen Type 1 Kassetten.

I record with a B&o HX pro deck and usually, with a normal tape, I use Dolby B to enhance highs on Normal Cassettes, as their HF response is often laclustre. I've just popped some Duran Duran on with a 0dB peak and the sound is rather good. Good in fact that I'm going rerecord it with Dolby B off. Essentially, the cassette has a decent response and I'd say pretty good for the money. It's definitely as good as the the old BASF normal cassettes. For me, this is the benchmark as the old B&o had tape tests done prior, and then recommendations of good tapes. BASF scoring top for Normal and Chrome. I won't say it's a chrome, but for a Walkman or walkout boombox, I'd say these tapes are very good. A bit pricey, but I'll shortly have a box of them.
