I bought this for my son and he loves it. The lights and stars make his room look amazing at night. It helps him relax and fall asleep faster. The projector has different colors and scenes, and it can rotate too, which he really enjoys. It’s easy to use and has a timer, so it turns off by itself. The focus can be adjusted, and the images look nice and clear on the ceiling. Overall, a great product for kids. I’m happy with the purchase and would recommend it!

I originally purchased a more expensive projector that contained a built-in battery, but then I saw that this Galaxy Projector was much less in cost compared to the other one. I decided to buy it and give it a try since I really wasn't sure that I really required a battery. The Galaxy is compact and projects well for it's size. But first you must set you expectations and know what you are looking for. This is not one of those dazzling star projectors that projectors sparkles, stars, in an array of colors all over the place, this in an essence is a "slide projector". The better the quality of the slide, the sharper and more realistic the projected images will be. Overall while the slides were not extremely realistic in comparison to the more expense brand, they were acceptable for what these things are purposed for. I projected it over a king-sided bed and it filled the circle nearly perfectly in terms of size comparison. You'll need a well darkened room to really get the full effect. Blackout curtains or a windowless room are great in the daytime, with ambient light it isn't so bad, but a dark room is where this works best. The projector has a slide rotation mode and it has a timer. I have not tried the timer but I've used the slide rotator function while laying back on the bed starring up at the ceiling. Within 2 to 3 minutes I felt a little dizzy and thought to myself, "this is a bad idea if you have a hungover". All in all, if you want the sharpest image possible, you'll need the buy the more expensive brands at 3X the cost of this one in order to get the HD slides that fit them since they are not interchangeable with the lower-end brands. The quality of the slides is what what's make the biggest difference essentially in all of these projectors (The projected image footprints are roughly the same in comparison). In my opinion, for the price, this Galaxy projector can't be beat if you are looking for lower cost but fully capable solution. It makes a great gift and it already comes with two sets of slides (12 slides total). The more expensive projector only include one slide and cost $10 each additional slide). The images I posted were captured with my cell phone and are of images projected on the ceiling above my bed. It can project a wider footprint if I placed it on the floor in the center of the room, but there's a king-sized bed in the way. The only issue I found with this projector is the slide tray gets a little stuck and it can be difficult to pull out with pull tab provided. It contains no grip, therefore, use care when inserting the slide so that it does not get stuck (insert gently). YMMV

I love that I can set this up next to my bed and use the interchangeable discs to alter my view. It is of particular help on nights when I can’t get back to sleep after waking in the early morning hours. Anybody who’s getting older recognizes that that happens sometimes, and this is a real lifesaver and helping me get back to sleep. I also love being able to watch the heavens at night as I drift off to sleep. The stars and the beauty and wonder of our universe are something I really think people are meant to see on a routine and regular basis. Short of sleeping outside, or in a tee pee, this star projector enhances the quality of my life. I give this five stars and suggest you really should add this either to your room, to the room of a loved one, or to the room of a family member to enhance the quality of their night and their lives.

I bought this for my child because he wanted the constellations on his ceiling. It doesn’t have actual constellations (which I didn’t find really anywhere), but it does have a wonderful sea of stars, planets, Aurora Borialis, and a forest scene. To my surprise, my child liked the forest scene the best, and played that image every night. This brings me to my one major issue. He’s had it for about three weeks, and now the forest scene is faded to barely visible.

Originally I was going to get this for a friend but I loved it so much that I kept it and got my friend something else. It comes with very pretty projection disks, and it’s easy to use and has very helpful functions. There is a setting where you can turn off the surrounding light around the projection and that is very helpful and limits the amount of light if you sleep with it on. Overall it has helped me relax and it’s even helped me sleep better. This is also perfect for small parties when you don’t want the lights on but don’t want to be in the dark. It’s perfect for hanging out and overall I recommend this product 100%

I'm sad to write this review. This is the second projector I've purchased. The first one got really loud after about 6 months. The second one seemed ok, although it seemed like the rotation wasn't working right. The new and improved slides are truly breathtaking. However, about half were a tiny bit warped, so they stick in the rotation and you get a weird click and then the image bounces backwards. It's odd and bothers my 6 year old, who uses this as a night light. She loves this thing but we ended up having to get rid of alot of beautiful slides because they just didn't work right. We've only had it for a few months. So my review is mixed. It's beautiful and magical, and we all love it. But the quality is bad and the life span is short.

This projector seemed to have a lot of great options that were exactly what we were looking for; it has 7 different projections that the children love to choose from each night, the 1 hour timer is a must, it has an overall simple design, and the image focus makes it easy to set anywhere in the room and have a clear image. Most other projectors either had bad options for the projected image (not very realistic space scenes) or had only one image to project that wasn’t very good either. This projector was a great value and the kids love it. The stars that light up on the projector itself are a bit much and I wish they didn’t light up every time, but you can disable those with a few clicks of one of the buttons on the back. Overall very happy with the purchase.
