Fantastic, rigid mill, makes machining Aluminum very easy
Loving the mill, works excellently, super easy to mill 1/8" Aluminum with 1/8" mill bit at 200mm/min 0.35mm depth and 2.5 on a DeWalt Router. I had an issue with the 400w spindle with came bent and Sainsmart shipped me a new one within 24 hours. Not loving candle, it makes z-probe more complex than it needs to be - candle also causes machine to spontaneously home after triggering the limit switches. (5 stars as my Candle issues are not Genmitsu issues)

Perfect CNC - Highly recommend
I spent weeks going through all the CNC manufacturers on the net and Amazon (of course). With so many to choose from, it was an exhausting process. Luckily, I was able to find the Genmitsu 4030 V2 and ordered it. It arrived in just 2 days (Amazon, of course) and I was anxious to get it up and printing. It took less than an hour to unpack and assemble - it comes partially assembled. I am amazed at the construction - every part is cut and milled to perfection. The directions were easy to follow - even the cabling was well marked and there were pictures, a good thing. I do much better when there are pictures. I spoke to several users who had various different CNC machines and received a lot of feedback on what I needed, as a new CNC user. I wanted a midsize unit, with enough creative space and a good starting path. Ultimately, that led me to the Genmitsu PROVerXL 4030 V2. It is large enough for my use and can also be expanded when I am ready for a larger unit. Software: I had been researching the various vendors to see what software is used on a PC for direct connection. Genmitsu had it covered. The directions were easy to follow and took me about 20 minutes to install and my PC was directly connected. No copying files to a memory stick. Just design and send. You can also use remote access on your cell phone. Not sure that will ever be needed, but it's there. I have also found other software that work with CNCs - my current trial is with Easel (free for 30 days). There is also Fusion 360 and Vectric which I will also be trialing. I am also impressed with the support - I had several questions to ask and I got immediate responses from Jamie. This was a HUGE plus for me. I've been very impressed with the quality of the machine and the support - those are the two main reasons I purchased the Genmitsu. The machine also does metal , acrylic, MDF Almost forgot - the machine does laser engraving. Something I will be delving into as a side use. Having fun and creating things - what better time spent? ENJOY

A very solid little machine
This machine is very well built and has lots of beneficial upgrades, including closed-loop stepper motors. I did have the control board fail early on, but their tech support is very good and sent out a replacement board that arrived within a week. I did have a couple of other operator errors at the beginning, but have worked out those issues and it's working great. (I am fortunate that I have a nephew who installs industrial grade CNC machines for wood shops. I've bugged him quite a bit!) I have been using lasers, 3D printers and vinyl cutters for the past few years and have no problem operating those machines. The CNC is a little bit off the "easy-consumer mode" beaten path. You will need to learn a few things. There are great forums and facebook groups out there that are worth gleaning information from before purchase. I don't think you are going to find the value that this machine offers anywhere near this price point. Add to that the upgradability in size and spindles and you can't go wrong.

Unfortunately a bad out of box experience- Updated
Update 1-11-24: Support helped me quickly and sent me a Motor within a week or so because of the holidays, I replaced the motor which resolved the original issue. I was then able to continue with the setup. There was an additional issue that I made them aware of and they really took the extra steps to help me get this unit working. I have to say that Joey at Sainsmart support really worked with me patiently. I am not an easy customer and appreciate the efforts from the support team. The unit now works as I expect and I am looking forward to purchasing the 6060 extension kit. Thanks Joey! Original Review: Setup was easy, everything went into place, and I ran Candle to begin testing the device. X, Y, Z, and home all worked fine, I setup the Z probe and it worked right away. Set zero and ran the first engrave test file supplied with the USB. Worked great. Changed wood, set X,Y and Z again. Sent the second file from the USB and the Z stopped working making a noise as seen in the video. Took off the Zmotor and the coupling is tight, tested the mechanical movement of the Zaxis and that appears smooth. Reinstalled the Zmotor making sure it isn't bound, and it still exhibits the problem shown. I am thinking something is wrong with the Zmotor, but frankly a bit disappointed at the startup experience so far. All manufacturers outsource parts, and experience problems, so I have placed a support request and will see how they can help. I purchased some accessories like the vacuum port ( fits nice, like the magnets ) along with a Makita Router but wanted to get a sense of what the 400W spindle could do. Again, unfortunately the Zmotor has put a stop to any further testing, but it makes me wonder and research why the motor would fail. Is it the newer closed loop motors? A single mishap? Maybe, but I'll have to wait for support to get back to me for further testing. Being the weekend, I am sure I will be waiting, just when I had time to play with it.

Solid, Accurate, and Worth Every Penny!
This CNC router really exceeded my expectations. The setup was smooth, and it’s built like a tank — super sturdy and precise. I’ve been cutting wood and acrylic with amazing results, and the accuracy is spot on every time. It’s quiet, powerful, and perfect for small business projects or serious hobby work. Definitely a great value for the quality you get!

Terrible product and customer service.
I was excited to get this machine with all the upgrades in the v2. Was expecting it to work right of the box as well. What I got was much less. One of my eccentric nuts was not right. Brought up to customer service they told me those are set at the factory. And? Why do I have one not properly set? They did nothing to help. I had to figure out myself. I bought their brand laser as an add on. Took me 2 weeks to get that going. I was supposed to use a wire that did not come with laser or machine... fixed that myself (they eventually sent me a wire). Once I got the laser issues fixed I find out I have a y bearing going out. That was 2 weeks ago. Customer service told me it would be 3 days as they were out of stock. I'm still waiting. Have had my machine 6 weeks and have done very little as it is plagued with problems. Customer service is typically nice when and if they respond. Might take them 1 day. Might take them 4. I'd highly suggest looking elsewhere to start your desktop cnc journey. I throughly regret giving sainsmart a chance. Edit: So after leaving this review they magically have bearings in stock. As they sent me multiple message and tracking info for the bearings. Also worthy of note. Amazon inflates their seller rating. You can see this yourself. If go to seller page it says 100% positive in last 12 months. Yet if you search 1 star or critical reviews there are plenty of them. Amazon puts a line through them and does not count them. Do your research before you make the same mistake as me. Sainsmart is terrible.

Can’t assemble it.
Will update when resolved. Unit looks great, good quality. Problem is I can’t assemble it because there is a 1/4 inch gap when attaching gantry to the XY base.

The support is slow and so far a very bad experience.
I received the product and it went together nicely. I cut my first part the same day. A week later I started to work with it and I found when I get to around one inch from the end of travel on the right the closed loop controller starts to vibrate. I tried to fix it for a while. The controller is hunting and not able to lock into a position because the X screw has a lot of slop at that end. It has been about a week since contacting support. It takes a full business day for every response. They have been giving me the run around. Starting with them not being able to find my order, then asking for videos to show them what is wrong. And them telling me to try x, wait a day, then y wait a day, now z wait a day. Since each exchange takes a full business day for them to respond and caused me to go outside of Amazon's return window. I even asked them to just sell me the ball screw and that request was ignored. They don't appear to sell repair parts. I can't find a BOM which will make buying a compatible ball screw difficult. Unless the device is perfect right out of the box you are going to be down for a long time waiting for your 1 year warranty repair part and I imagine when you are out of warranty you may be forced to find suitable repair parts on your own from other vendors. -------------------------------------- Update----------------------------- I must have caught them during a holiday in their country. The week after I left the review they started to respond pretty quickly. They explained that they had part shortages. But they said they'd replace the ball screw in two weeks and it arrived in one week. The machine itself is very easy to work with and modify. The repair part was easy to install and the slop/hunting is gone.
