Fantastic budget gaming mouse!
I bought this mouse as a gamer on a budget and I can easily say that this is one of the best mice I have ever used. It offers an outstanding performance in-game with 9 individually programmable buttons and very easy to edit DPI settings going up to 5000dpi (not that you will need it that high, but it's there anyway). I especially like how this mouse looks and feels with its very comfortable hand position and easy to press buttons in all key locations. The pulsating LED Sharkoon logo on the top of the mouse can be changed between 24 different colors of the users choice, as well as how fast and how brightly it pulsates. The four lights in the top left of the mouse are an indicator of what DPI setting you are using. The driver installation was very easy and the Drakonia Configurator software that it came with is very user friendly, just make sure you keep the polling rate at 1000hz for maximum mouse performance. Overall the quality of the product is fantastic and is much better than some other more expensive mice such as some Razor models. My only slight quibble with this product is that in the product photo shown on the product listing on Amazon, it is portrayed to be quite a vivid turquoise/blue color. It isn't. It's more dark green than anything else. Also, I had some compatibility issues with some of my Logitech equipment, but that might just be my PC... Other that that, this mouse is steal at £25.99 due to the amazing quality and comfort. Definite 5 out of 5 :)

Great mouse at any price - long lasting, reliable, comfortable, precise
July 2018: I have 2 of these mice, one at work & one at home. The older one now has an unreliable left button. After 5 1/2 years!! I can't praise this mouse enough. I use it daily for a good 8 hours. Not gaming. So much better value than the expensive and unreliable Logitech mice I used to use. Update after 6 months: Still a great product, well recommended to anyone who wants a solid, high performance mouse. I use mine every day for hours on end and so far it is holding up well, still pristine even though it gets dumped in a bag many days as I want it at home as well as work. I've owned many mice and I'm often disappointed due to the fact that, even though they are very expensive, they never last more than a couple of years. OK, so I'm not an average user and, though I don't play many games, I do use a mouse every day for many hours. I find that the left button goes first with Logitech mice in particular prone to giving a double click instead of a single click after a couple of years of use. So to find such a well featured mouse at this price left me thinking that it would be cheap and nasty. But the reviews indicated otherwise and now I can add my own review. This mouse is AT LEAST as good as any I've ever used and yet significantly cheaper. So even if it only lasts as long as my Logitech mice, I'll still have had a better deal. The lights and the "dragon skin" design are totally over the top! But you quickly ignore them and get used to the sniggers from colleagues! The driver software works and does what is needed. The buttons, including scrolling, are a little rough (a bit noisy) but not excessively so. Movement is very smooth and the weight is good (I've left all the weights in so far). And it works happily on the arm of my leather sofa. The mouse is quite large and is great for those of us with long fingers and who like the mouse to fill the hand. Not so good if you like pinching small mice.

Looks a bit different to the picture but works well. Good purchase
Nice mouse, I chose this because of the adjustable dpi settings, programmable buttons and ergonomic shape. This is a nicely shaped design and the buttons are all comfortably located however the scale pattern isn't quite as subtle as it appears in the picture. I appreciate that this is intended as a non-slip surface but it does cheapen the appearance to some degree. I can only really describe what I mean by saying that the scale design is not a sticker but it does appear as though it is. If the scales were darker, as they appear in the picture then they would not stand out so much. This is only a cosmetic issue but has lost this product a star from my rating. The mouse functions extremely well, it is comfortable to use and other than the appearance I have no complaints. The software is very user friendly with many profiles to save your settings into. The Dragon head light can change between multiple colours for profile reference or just personal choice which I think is a nice touch.

Excellent Value
This is a great mouse for the price you pay. The mouse is very sturdy and has quite a nice ergonomic feel to it. It comes with two additional buttons on the left hand side of the mouse at the top of the grip and one below it as well as another button on the right hand side of the mouse. The DPI is fairly impressive and should suffice for anybody who isn't an actual pro-gamer. I'm currently one of the best Dawn of War 2 players and are getting away with playing 2/4 on the DPI setting for this mouse. It has many neat features too such as a the mouse scroll wheel actually being able to be clicked to the left and clicked to the right, not just clicked down. The mouse also contains multiple weights which are easily removed and stored in a bag given to you so that you can get the optimal weight for your mouse. Aestheticaly the mouse looks really pretty with its turquoise drakonian scales. It also has a pretty flashing glowing logo on the front which you can actually adjust the colour of! The side grips of the mouse do tend to collect a lot of dirt/dead skin/food/whatever but that's to be expected. Overall the mouse is extremely good to value for money and I would suggest it to anybody who wants a great mouse for great gaming bar professional gamers as they might want a few more buttons to bind keys to and probably a higher DPI.

OK but better value elsewhere
If you own a standard optical mouse and are wondering whether to upgrade to a laser mouse then I would say go ahead. This Sharkoon mouse is good in that it is quite sensitive and provides for a very smooth cursor movement and fits the hand well. The buttons are very easy to press and the mouse glides well as it has larger skid pads than many standard mice. Is the plural of a computer mouse, mice or mouses? Anyway, back to the review, this one can have the resolution adjusted by a small switch on the top and an LED shows you the setting. This is more useful than you might think, especially for gaming. It basically allows you to adjust the sensitivity of the mouse easily and quickly 'in-game' without accessing the control panel. The mouse is very programmable and has a pleasing shiny finish with another LED illuminated emblem which you can switch to blue, red or green. Completely pointless but a fun, cool, touch nonetheless. The mouse comes with up to 6 weights which slot into the base. Again these do allow the user to customise the weight of the mouse to suit their own preference. You will probably only do this once but another pleasing feature and actually worth having. The reason I have rated this only 3 star is that I also have a Perixx MX 2000. I made the mistake of thinking this Sharkoon was the same bar the finish. It is nearly the same but there are a couple of key differences. The shiny surface of the Sharkoon is more pleasing than the Perixx but your hand gets hotter, sweatier and more slippery than with the more tactile rubber like finish on the Perixx. Also, and most importantly, the scroll on the Sharkoon is noticeably stiff. To the point that if your hands are at all greasy it is actually difficult to move the scroller. This is slightly annoying and spoils an otherwise good product. So basically this is a good mouse but the Perixx, whilst very similar, is just better and at the time of writing the same price.

Top quality product
I bought this mouse as I had already bought a Sharkoon case and keyboard, and found them to be excellent products. This did not disappoint. The mouse is quite large, and for me, who has large hands, I found this very comfortable to use with either a palm grip or claw grip. The buttons are positioned very well, everything within easy reach, the scroll wheel feels solid and the shape is beautiful. Add to this the customisation and the quality of the mouse shines through. The software is quick to install and very simple to use. Just be aware that the mouse wheel also clicks left and right, which helps make up the 11 buttons - and is actually really comfy! I love the ability to change the DPI through a flick of the button on the back of the mouse behind the scroll wheel, with lights on the left side indicating how high the setting is. This button doesn't appear to get in my way either. The mouse slides nicely over my battered old mouse mat (there is a Sharkoon mat on it's way!), and you even get four spare pads in case of wear! The final point - style. This mouse is a thing of beauty. As a reptile lover anyway, I found the scale pattern particularly attractive. It's just a shame that the design only comes in green, and my case is blue! Even with the ability to change the logo colour - this really only causes a bit of a colour clash with the logo, the scale pattern and the case. Still, I love this mouse and would highly recommend it!

Perfect mouse!
This mouse is EXTREMELY comfortable to hold, even for someone with large hands. It is soft touch plastic with nice, blue LEDs and a beautiful white colour which matches my set up perfectly. It has a variable DPI setting, which is great but I personally don't use this much but I am sure some people will find this useful. The right and left clicks are responsive and feel nice, with the side buttons also feel very good. The mouse is very light, which I didn't like at first as I like a heavier mouse, but I got used to this very quickly and now much prefer lighter mice. The USB cable is fairly long and is braided (which at this price point is extremely impressive) with the scroll wheel having a very nice grip to it. Overall, this mouse made me realise you do not need to buy big brand stuff like Razer and Corsair to have premium products. This mouse is really cheap, and feels about ten times its price.

The finish is peeling off after 3 months
Firstly, I should've bought a black mouse, as the finish started to patina (staining, due to skin oils) after a couple of weeks. Haven't tried any cleaning solutions, or alcohol, but I imagine that would not help as the finish is now peeling at the edge where my right pinky rests. EVERYTHING related to performance is good to great, but the aesthetics fail miserably with daily use. Would NOT recommend the white, even if it matches your setup.
