If I hadn’t bought this myself, I would think it was a few hundred dollars, maybe more. For the price, I haven’t found a better microphone. Just a thought: momentary contact switching??The noise reduction threshold is pretty good, the mic remains sensitive to close-proximity voice pick-up while blocking ambient noises.Overall, I like it for my purposes of ambient room recording/voice-overs.
