Excellent smart bulbs with a powerful app
These smart light bulbs work great and are easy to set up. The brightness and color options are very good, and they connect smoothly with smart home systems. The app is excellent as well—very user-friendly and full of useful features like scheduling, scenes, and automation. Overall, a solid smart lighting option with a great app experience.

Easy Setup. Feature Rich. Matter is the way to go
Got these set up in seconds thanks to the matter support. Much easier than buying into an ecosystem that requires a specific app. They do have an app you can use called AiDot, but it's unnecessary for the majority of users who have something like Google Home or Samsung SmartThings (or any number of other control systems that support the matter protocol). I do think their own app is necessary for firmware updates though, so keep that in mind, but out of the box I'm not sure what kind of updates will be necessary other than security patches or something. They work just like other color bulbs I've used in the past. Your smart home manager of choice can leverage all of the options the bulbs support for color changing, scenes, dimming, etc., or you can use the AiDot app to manage them if that's something you'd prefer. The only question remaining in my mind is how they behave to a power outage or internet outage, as I have not encountered that scenario yet. Hopefully I never do, but if so I'd be interested to see how quickly they reconnect to my network and resume normal operations. Other non-matter ecosystems seem to be hit and miss with that sorta thing, and I've spent a decent amount of time in the past simply resetting devices because they didn't resume their normal operations after a power outage or a network disconnect. Matter devices are supposed to be better at this, so time will tell if that's true or not. I'll update my review if and when I encounter these sorts of scenarios. Overall I'm very happy and plan to get more. If you're looking for feature-rich color bulbs that set up and control easily, these are a great starting point. Perfect for Google home, Alexa, Samsung, or HomeKit users since they all support matter now. They work great with home assistant, which i tinker with too. And the price point is really attractive. Worth checking out.

These color-changing LED smart bulbs are a great value for the money.
I recently purchased the OREiN Matter Smart Light Bulb 4-pack and have been thoroughly impressed with their performance. These A19--standard light socket--color-changing bulbs, with 800 lumens and a 60W equivalent output, integrate seamlessly with Apple Home, Alexa, Google Home, AIDOT, and SmartThings, making them a versatile addition to my smart home setup. The bulbs are excellent for various purposes. For reading, they provide bright, clear light that’s easy on the eyes. The color-changing feature allows me to adjust the ambiance to suit any mood, from warm tones for cozy evenings to vibrant hues for lively gatherings. I particularly appreciate the automation and timing functions, which let me schedule lighting changes effortlessly—perfect for enhancing home security by simulating occupancy when I’m away. The ability to control them remotely via smartphone, whether I’m in another city, state, or even continent, adds incredible convenience and peace of mind. Setup was straightforward, and the 2.4GHz WiFi connection has been reliable. Overall, these bulbs offer great functionality and flexibility, making them a worthwhile investment for anyone looking to enhance their home lighting experience.

Overall great bulbs for HomeKit
I swapped out my studio lighting with these bulbs and they look great. Pairing and setup was easy, just time consuming with HomeKit because I had to re-pair them after pairing with Aidot and running the initial firmware update. Pairing is faster and easier with the Aidot app, but I want to use multiple products together in HomeKit, so I ended up having to pair 10 lights 3 times because I didn’t expect updating the firmware to make HomeKit lose them. I think this is more an issue with HomeKit but it might help people to know it can disconnect after updating firmware. Colors are great, bulbs are bright, and the tunable whites look classy. I put them in hanging paper lamps and they look fantastic. The music and animated preset modes in the app are fun but not available in HomeKit. I am sure this is a limitation with Apple though. I use buttons in task areas to trigger relevant scenes, such as the one by my drawing desk sets the lights there brighter and neutral white for making art while the button on my piano sets dim, warm mood lighting throughout the whole room for practice time. If I forget and leave my lights on at night, they all turn off at midnight. I also have them turn off if my wife and I both leave the house. I also have a great scene that makes every light full brightness and daylight white for cleaning, while my everyday use scene has warm whites for a more natural look and comfortable feel. The buttons are handy but do not work with HomeKit--what I have done to work around that is duplicated the relevant HomeKit scenes in the Aidot app, but in the future I may try out HomeBridge to unify them. I am having a great experience getting into home automation and will be slowly adding more of these lights around the house where smart lighting makes sense. I did a ton of research and couldn't find a better bulb for the price, not to mention these go on sale constantly.

Nice and convenient way to create some pleasant lighting atmospheres
I wanted a way to change my lighting drastically throughout the day and night, to help with circadian rhythms and improve my overall sleep quality, so i decided to give these a try and so far I'm pretty pleased! I like that I was able to set and save some different lighting levels quite easily. I made created five with varying degrees of dimming light going from white all the way to red. As the night goes on, I change my setting so it's not only a more relaxing and dim lighting scheme in my bedroom, but also with as little blue light as possible. (A bright white light has a lot of blue light, whereas a red or amber light has little to none. Blue light is what tells our brains it's daytime and it's time to be awake, so the less blue light at night, the better.) I like how fun and simple and convenient it is, turning lights on and off or changing the lighting scheme from the app on my phone, without having to get out of bed. The only reason I took off one star: To get to my preset lighting schemes, I have to click on the app, and then I ciick on my designated lighting areas (one I have marked blue chair and the other is bedside table), then I click on DIY (to get to the presets I made) and then I click on one of my presets. So four steps in all - not a lot, but I wish I could create a shortcut button that immediately lets me access my presets rather than go through that each time. The other minor thing is I wish I could create presets with even less light than the lowest possible option. Some nights when my eyes are tired, even the lowest option still seems a bit too bright. Lastly, in the few weeks I've had the bulbs, once they were non responsive. On the app it kept showing they were turned off, but the actual bulbs wouldn't turn off. I finally gave up and turned them off manually in the lamps, and the next day they were responding in the app again. All in all though, I'm really pleased with them and recommend them! It's made a huge difference in my life and a reminder than sometimes the smallest things can have a big impact!

Smooth Matter bulbs that fit my smart setup
I bought a four pack because I wanted reliable lighting that I could control from a few different apps and with voice. Being able to change colors for different moods and scenes helps a lot, and I wanted something that would play nicely with Apple Home and the other assistants in my house. I also checked that the bulbs would fit my lamps, since form factor can matter more than expected. Setup was straightforward. I scanned the Matter QR code and added the bulbs to the Matter certified apps. They link up with Apple Home, Alexa, Google Home and SmartThings, so I can reach them from whichever ecosystem I happen to be using. Being able to operate even if the internet is down because of local LAN communication was a nice reassurance. In daily use the color range is impressive and the whites cover a warm to cool spectrum, which makes it easy to set the right mood. The brightness feels similar to a 60 watt bulb, and the 9 watt rating is a clear saving. The music sync feature is a pleasant surprise, with colors shifting to the beat when I want a more dynamic vibe. The bulbs still look good with a steady color even at lower brightness, and the CRI feels solid. A small caveat is that these prefer a 2.4 GHz network and do not work with 5 GHz. Also wall dimmers usually aren’t compatible with smart bulbs, so dimming happens best through the hub or app. Other than that, the setup was smooth, the controls are responsive, and the variety of colors and scenes makes daily life a bit more convenient. Overall, it feels like a solid 5 star addition to my smart home.

Impressive Value and Performance for Smart Lighting! ★★★★☆
I’ve been using the OREiN Matter Smart Light Bulbs for a few weeks now, and overall, I’m really impressed with them. The color-changing feature is fantastic, and I love the wide range of hues these bulbs offer. The ability to control them with Alexa, Google Home, and Apple Home is super convenient, though I do have a minor gripe with Apple Home not allowing me to directly choose RGB values. Instead, you have to guesstimate the colors, which can be a bit frustrating if you're looking for a specific shade. In terms of brightness, these bulbs are great when using the white light setting. They’re incredibly bright for 800 lumens, making them perfect for everyday tasks. However, when using colored lights, they’re not as bright as I expected. Still, it’s a small tradeoff for having such vibrant colors available. From an energy standpoint, I found these bulbs very efficient. With three bulbs running for about 5 hours a day, my energy cost is around $2 a month, which is impressive. Set-up was a breeze thanks to the QR code, and within minutes, my bulbs were connected and ready to go. For the price, I’d highly recommend these as a solid option for smart lighting—especially if you’re looking for affordable color-changing bulbs without compromising too much on quality. Great product overall, especially for the cost! Would definitely consider purchasing again.
