I would say this is a solid step above the last two generations. It doesn't require an app, and has no internet connectivity which for me were huge pros towards this model, I’m looking for a cute robot friend and with it continuing to call the user “bestie” it delivers. I would say it’s lacking in the immersion the 98 and 05 had in not starting off in furbish and going to English, the “teaching the furby” aspect seems lost to time and instead this furby is teaching you, songs, fun facts, and breathing exercises and affirmations. It also will tell your fortune, and do the random copycat feature. While they are cute I can see the novelty wearing off when you are talking to your furby and it always acts like you are telling it a really cool story, I could see a child telling furby they were sad or something and this furby being way too ultra positive to the point where it may even say something too happy for such a situation whereas furbish is more up to interpretation. Overall I think for the money this is a cute device, albeit very very optimistic, with none of the sassy things of the 05 or 98 version and less of the raising a creature curve and more of the “fun pet that speaks English” vibe. I think some of the lingo it says will be dated in a few years. I also think burp and fart jokes are cheap but I know I loved them as a kid so I can see the demographic. Overall a gorgeous robot friend to love so much. (Forgot to add the light show feature makes a GREAT timed nightlight for kids). Seems durable though I wouldn’t throw it down stairs or anything. High quality. VERY soft. You need to say hey furby first after pressing the heart then WAIT for the ears to turn green and the response sound before giving the command. I’ve seen a lot of YouTubers get upset not understanding that part. It also DOES dance to music when played by its microphone “twinkle toes” being one of the things I’ve heard it say while it dances and it’s ears go rainbow. I believe it also said “drop that fur beat” But not as immersive as the booms and connects were it seems. I’ve yet to test it with a buddy.

My daughter loves her Furby! She loves feeding Furby, talking to Furby, doing Furby’s hair, and she is obsessed with the copycat feature where Furby repeats what you say in silly voices. This Furby is absolutely beautiful and cute. Its fun for the whole family and I love that it even has affirmations and the relax mode. It can calm down the kids a bit. The most fun we have with the danceparty mode. And the more you play the more it learns new. If you don't wanna play anymore you can easyly get it off with pressing the heartgem 3 times.
