I got this case for the latch that would keep the lid closed so that airpods don't escape and get lost. I keep it on my keychain and my keychain gets swung around various places, sometimes dropped, as keys sometimes are. It is a durable and secure product. When the lid is open, occasionally (1-2 X a month) the lid part of the case can get loose, but I didn't find that problematic. I didn't care for the carribeaner that comes with it, because it feels cheap, so I switched that out and put my own on it. The latch on the case lasts about 2.5 years of daily use. I am actually on my second of this product.
