Get ready...
The only word I can use to describe this book is UNPUTDOWNABLE! Wow, I was completely engrossed from the onset.Shelly's way of immersing me in the fascinating world of Landis was incredibly clever. I felt like I was there, I wished I was there, and each page pulled me in deeper. The magic and the fairies, the gadgets and potions, the friendships and first loves, the parties and the dramas, the thatched houses and cobbled streets, the coffees, pastries and sweet treats... Ooft! However, where good exists, so does evil. Where there is light, there is also darkness, and boy, oh boy, this book gets dark! In the last few chapters, I literally found myself sitting on the edge of my bed (I am a night time reader!).Each characters' own personal journey holds story lines that we can all relate to, especially the difficult navigation of coming of age, where the high school experience can be traumatic for some.Fantasy is not a genre I would normally lean toward, but this book grabbed me, and getting lost in Landis was a welcome escapism. I can't wait to go back.To Shelly Mack, thank you for sharing your powerful imagination and oustanding talent with us 💜

Brilliant Fantasy!
This has all the makings of an epic Fantasy that would make an amazing TV series or movie. Brilliant read with characters I just want to follow into more adventures, and a story that drew me in and made me want to know how things would all pan out. Can't wait to read more from this author.

Absorbing high fantasy with great cast.
Took me a while to sink into this as I'm not usually a high fantasy/fae/fairy fan but I really enjoyed it once I was underway. I particularly liked the cast of teens and how they interacted, with Gabriel being my particular favorite. Bodes well for more to come from this author.
