Perfect for rodent problems!
I struggled to source this at both B&Q and Screwfix (genuinely perplexed the staff in Screwfix) before finding it via Amazon and was good value. This worked perfectly for a rodent issue with a downstairs toilet leading directly into a sewer. The barrier valve worked perfectly and fit tightly within the sewer pipe, seems to have eradicated the problem and worked very well.

Didn't quite work for us!
Looked good, fit the hole perfectly but unfortunately caused a blockage in our toilet as it kept catching on the lip and built up toilet roll so ended up having to bin it which I'm a bit gutted about. But certainly fit well initially as could be moulded to drain hole.

Doesn't work with toilet paper
It's easy to fit but it becomes blocked if using toilet paper.

Works a treat
I've had this in place about 6 months now. We built an extension which incorporated a downstairs bathroom. About a year later, we discovered we had a little friend that was after visiting us via the sewer pipes. He left traces of his presence 3-4 times, and even managed to avoid a traditional rat trap I put in place to nab him (though I felt it was unfair to try and kill a rat just for doing what a rat does, and exploring the place). So this went in, and we haven't heard from our little friend since. I'd highly recommend it.

Perfect...Probably only one on the net!
perfect bit of kit... I was really worried we wouldn't be able to solve a problem with backflow from an upstairs loo... Highly recommended, though we did need to buy a new pan connector also!
