Amazing DIY machine
Bought this tool a while back for a truck project. Finally got to use it. After a few minutes of a simple set up, I was cutting. First time using a plasma cutter. I was so pleased with how well it cut. I used a 110 v outlet on a 20 amp breaker. Cut a 3/16 inch steel and it cut so smooth and effortless. Only issue I had was after continuous cutting, it overloaded the breaker which was not a surprise. That's not the fault of the machine. To remedy that, all I did was cut for about 20 seconds then stopped. It starts right back up and no need to preheat metal. I can't wait to use it again. Definitely worth the money.

Great machine for the price
I was looking for a budget plasma cutter and this one works great for cutting thin metal to make yard art etc just using 120v 20A outlet. it was easy to setup right out of the box and I have been using it for 1 month already. I would recommend this machine you won't be disappointed for the price point. Just make sure you have a decent air compressor to keep up because you will be doing a lot of cutting

Great little cutter
If you need to fabricate metal parts, and/or make shaped cuts in metal, a plasma cutter is the way to go. So useful in the shop. Once you use one, youโll appreciate how well this tool works for you. This unit arrived well packaged, and shipped quick. Expected it by UPS, but it came by mail on a Saturday! Researched it well before purchase, and reviews and demos were spot on. Would recommend you do the same, as the demos of the unitโs features really show its capabilities. Easy set up, well designed interface that gets you set and cutting quickly. Cables a decent length for mobility around the workpiece Replaced a 20+ year old commercial unit damaged in a flood that cost 10X the price, and this new one blows it away with ease and speed. Plus, half the weight, so easy to move around.. So far have only cut 1/8โ (3mm) material, but it went like a hot knife through โbuttaโ! Some of the demos show it cutting thicker material very well, but havenโt needed to myself. Itโs performance on my thinner material matched the demos of the same, so expect it is capable as advertised. Seems well made, but will it last 20 years? Only time will tell. So far, very happy with the purchase, met all my expectations and feel it is a very good value for the price. Really wish there was a N/A on tech support rating, as so far have not needed to use it. (A good thing!) Supplied instructions were all that were needed. I recommend you buy the consumables kit, as tips wear quickly due to the non-contact arc start up. They arenโt expensive, and the convenience and ease of the cut starts make the wear well worth it. So much better than buying cutting wheels or gas for a cut off torch, not to mention so much cleaner, quieter and safer. It does require a decent compressor (~4 cfm), and if running it on 110 vac, a 20 amp circuit to work its best, but it will work with less as long as you lower the current and cut slower, with stops to allow the compressor to refill the tank between cuts. That airflow is critical for the cuts and post cut cool down of the torch. I was able to bring it over to a buddyโs place and run the torch on a 15 amp circuit and a pancake compressor by cutting in short spurts. Not as pretty cuts, but still got the job done in decent time! Overall; a great unit. You know you want one!

Nice plasma cutter
I wish I had bought this a long time ago. My first cuts were in rusty metal and this cut it with ease.

Buy the warranty take the risk
Ran into a YT sponsored video on this, was really hesitant in buying. Then after a rabbit hole I saw I was able to purchase a four year warranty, and it hit a sale. So I did. So hereโs my review after a few months. Cons. The ground is so thin All chords could be longer (gun is ok). A couple of the connections from the gun to the machine are thin. Pros Cost-thereโs a few others at this price point, but this seemed like the only one I could find info on. But I was looking at a HT. soooo I canโt say much. Heck a second gun is like $35-40. Pilot light. Wow. This thing lights up for a solid few seconds. I actually had the ground sitting away from the work on a wood bench and cut like 2 1/2โ of 14 ga. Starts on rusted saw blades (which the HT struggled with) Power. I havenโt tried it at 110 but bet itโs still got some sauce. Iโve only taken it up to 1/2โ playing around and it did it. Cut a lot of 3/8โ and my AC was the hold back. Warranty. Sure it only comes with 30 days but they offer like up to a 4 year warranty like $10 a year. Really what made me jump at it. The Gun has a swivel on it, really stops some of the drag. Size: this thing is tiny, fitting on my welding carts 2nd shelf. If youโre anyone other than a shop that can risk waiting on a replacement Iโd say do it. I was planning on spending big money, and the internet got me. I was really nervous till I used it a few times, now I love it. Wish it was bulkier, but seems to function quite well. Almost a decade as a fabricator/welder in an industrial shop, making large scale art currently with it.

Much better than Oxy-acetylene! Unless youโre cutting 1โ thick material
This is a great non-touch plasma torch. The design makes it easy to set up all cutting parameters. Itโs lightweight, with all external connections done without tools. Itโs equipped with an air dryer, which should extend the torch expendable parts life. All controls are on the front panel, easily set and read, except for on/off switch. It can be flipped on or off from the front, once you know itโs located. Iโve cut metal with for years but Iโm a first time plasma user. I quickly cut various thickness and conditions of steel, and found it intuitive how to set up the pressure and current. Thereโs a chart with recommendations, but I found thinner metal below 3/8โ could be cut cleanly and quickly with the same setting. All you need to do is cut at the best rate, and thatโs learned quickly within the first inch of cutting. I did find it more difficult to punch a hole through thicker metal with plasma than Oxy-acetylene (3/8โ and thicker), but the thinner metal was as easy as Oxy-acetylene. Iโm sure when I developed the proper technique, the thicker gauge metal will punch easily. I felt so confident after 15 minutes of playing with my new torch, I started and finished two projects Iโd been waiting to do because my acetylene bottle was empty. With plasma; all you need is an air compressor, and electricity. And this unit will work on 110 or 220, and both have a 50% duty cycle. For my two projects I was cutting with 220, and it cut both 7/16 and 16 gauge quickly and cleanly by only changing air pressure and current. With Oxy-acetylene I would have had to change tips and played with torch settings and pressures as well. Plasma is so much easier, with no expense of gas, and bulk of the torch and hoses. Iโll never go back! If anyone that reads this wants to buy an Oxy-acetylene system lock-stock-and barrel call me;-).

Amazed what this thing can do at such a low price!
Let me start by saying I bought this with my.own money. About 20 years ago, I worked in a welding fabrication shop. They had a plasma cutter back then. It cost probably 10 to 20 times what this machine cost and it didn't work nearly as good as this bestarc. Technology has improved tremendously in 20 years. Obviously. I had no idea that such a quality machine could be bought for so little money nowadays. I am no longer a professional fabricator, an amateur at best nowadays. Even so, I was able to put this cutter together and start cutting in minutes. Just hook up the lines and power and air. I didn't even have to mess with the settings much. If it didn't cut I just turned up the air and amps and voila, it cut great. I bought this for one job of installing floor pans in an old jeep and I am really glad I did. It was literally like taking a magic pencil and drawing a cut line on the pan and it just falling out. It was much easier than any other method of cutting. It made trimming the new pan easy as well. If I needed a hole, forget the drill, I just started the arc up and plunged cut a hole. The floor pans where very thin, like 20 gauge so they were easy for this machine to cut. I tried some 1/4 inch plate and had great results as well with a 220v power supply. I wish I would have bought one of these years ago and gave my oxy-acetalyne torch away. This plasma cutter is better in every way as long as you have power. I love it, buy it, you won't regret it. Oh and I didn't even mess one tip up while using it on this job. That says a lot to it design and durability.

Factory QC Issues
I never got this machine to cut cleanly or consistently. It had multiple defects from the factory - including an internal air leak due to a poorly installed coupler - which I tried to resolve with BestArc support. To their credit they responded quickly and shipped me a part (directly from China, so it took a while). The part fixed one but not all of the problems. I gave up and returned it while it was still in the return window.

Works best on 220
1st time owning a plasma cutter ..i chose this machine because of the amazon ratings & the youtube videos and was not disappointed ,easy to set up also very easy to use , unfortunately our home is fairly new and all the wiring is 15amp except for a 220 line in a pool shed . The machine made (1 )15amp cut on a 1/8 piece of flat bar then the circuit breaker kicked out ,after running a 30amp cord to the shed this thing ran flawlessly , i have a crappy tire 20gal air compressor that had no problem keeping up with the cutter, i messed around with it for about an hour chopping up various pieces of metal, i also have a 200amp 110/220 welder that also kicks out the breakers so its not an issue with this plasma cutter its the 15amp circuits , i think it would be find running on 20amps but 15amps just won't cut it , over all an excellent little machine

Australian users, you need to install a 15amp 3 pin plug
This plasma cutter is a true pilot arc machine, easy to set up, for Australian users, cut the American style power plug off and fit a 3 pin 15amp plug. first test on the thickness of steel that I use the most, cut through it like butter, clean cut, the Lincoln 210 struggled to cut 8mm plate, the BTC5000DP had no trouble. Am very happy with this plasma cutter, a shout out to Petes Tools, after viewing his channel, I bought my own Bestarc plasma cutter

Bestarc plasma cutter
They sure did choose the right name for this Plasma cutter ( BESTARC ) it really does stand out from the rest, I have been cutting with plasma for a while and was ready for a new machine and this is the one. I have not used better. Highly recommend.
