I read a number of reviews regarding this item's durability. So far, I have found that it takes a little extra muscle to use it well, but I believe that is to be expected. I have been using it on harder ground and it is doing pretty well in getting the soil ready for over seeding. I haven't noticed anything loosening up or failing at this point. I will continue to give this a positive rating until such time my opinions change.

Worked great on short cut grass/short weeds, however you do need loose wet soil or it doesn't work that well. Quality material, easy to assemble and overall I would purchase again.

Assembly for this product is a breeze. Sturdiness is also 9/10 for me.But do note, this thing will not break down hard compacted dirt. It will still require a lot of pressure and stamina to do so. I had to use a shovel to break up the compacted dirt and then used this tool to break down the dirt further. The tool is useful but probably won't be the only tool you need to get the job done.

Missing two screws needed for assembly. Very light, but with no angle to the tines, it really only shrugged at the dirt. It's tough enough, but only works on already tilled soft ground if ALL you are doing is working in a straight line. didn't so much as annoy the weeds. Had to go in with a fork.

I used it a few days after receiving it and it was a great help to me in breaking up clods of earth in a new border that I had watered the night before as it was very hard and dry. The handle is in three sections that screw together so it can be adjusted from short to long, as I have severe degeneration of the spine with nerve damage I was able to use it without any bending.
