So; about a year ago, my 17 yr old dishwasher gave out. I went to replace it and just couldn't find one I liked - sounds like a personal problem and maybe it is. Being just me I thought, why not just hand wash the stuff like in the old days? I did that; but kept fighting the drain stoppers -- wouldn't hold the water, wouldn't catch the stuff, would catch too much stuff and not drain, got nasty - yuck. I hated that chore (but hated shopping for a new dishwasher more), and then it happened. One of those annoying drain stopper thingys broke and I had to get a new one. I picked this one. OMG! how can such a simple little design solve a year's worth of frustration? I had no idea; but I bought a second one hours after the first one was tested in the soapy side. Stops the crud, easy to clean, holds back the water, move that fish shaped cover and out goes the water. Easy to dump the food stuff from the strainer and clean it. Yes, they are more expensive than the normal replacement contraption that doesn't work --- but it now saves me time and frustration.... no more hurrying up to get the dishes washed before the soapy water drains out; no more bleaching that nasty stopper that never gets clean.... This just works.

Great buy, I really like these mesh sink strainers, it catches all food scraps and allows the water to flow through perfectly fine. I bought 2 one for each side, really easy to clean as the mesh just flips out and is reversible.

I really like this sink strainer. What impressed me right away is that it’s truly universal. I bought one for myself and one for my mom, and our kitchen sinks are completely different. We didn’t need to measure anything. It fit both sinks perfectly. What we like most is how the scraps flow into the basket. The exterior ring is very thin and slightly lifted, so the water naturally flows up and into the basket instead of pushing food around the sink. You can tell whoever designed this really put thought into how it works. The basket catches a lot. It’s a good size, but I’d recommend picking up large amounts of food by hand first and then using the strainer for what’s left. Think of it as about a hand-sized scoop. It works great as long as you’re mindful of that. The fish stopper works amazingly well too. I tested it, and it holds water perfectly without leaking. It’s also wide enough to fit different sink openings without any issues. Overall, this is a very well-designed, practical product that does exactly what it’s supposed to do. I’d definitely recommend it.

Excellent product-This is the most durable and amazing sink catch I have ever used , so I even bought a second one !! Worth every penny . Easy to empty and rinse clean . I think these will last a very long time !

Cool gadget. Catches food debri well and is easy to empty. One of mine did develop a superficial stain of some sort for unclear reasons.

I am astounded by how well this product works. It fits in my sink perfectly and appears to be a part of the sink when installed. It seals nicely, and all food particles are trapped in the chain-mesh material. My favorite part of this is the amount of food particles that get stuck in there while still allowing water to flow through easily. It can hold a little over 1/4 cup of food particles while still allowing water to flow through. Emptying it is as simple as flipping it upside down and giving it a little shake; it's very easy to use. When it's gotten gunked up,, I've thrown it in my dishwasher,, and it comes out spotless and -rust-free.

This is hands down the best sink drain strainer I’ve used. The stainless steel mesh is sturdy, easy to clean, and works very well at catching debris. I’ve tried the popular SinkShroom before and went through two of them — the plastic parts eventually aged and failed. This stainless steel design feels much more durable and reliable, and it works even better. Highly recommended if you’re tired of plastic strainers wearing out.

This is a JOY to have in the sink! I LOVE it! After years and years of strainers that clogged and stank, and couldn't be cleaned, driving me nuts every time I used the sink to wash our dishes etc. finally something that works SO WELL!! It catches everything. It empties easily. If it is gummy, a little liquid soap, a rub between both hands, hot rinse, and it sparkles again!! It doesn't stink. AND ... the metal cannot split leaving sharp needles that pierce my fingers, making me bleed when I handle it. This is a KEEPER!!

This is the very best sink strainer I have ever used. It’s important to make sure it is inserted right-side up. The convex side of the outer ring should face up. Very easy to clean, catches surprisingly small pieces of debris, and seems to be very ruggedly constructed.

I was surprised at how well this works. Dumping it out is a breeze. Was worried food would get stuck in the mesh but that isn't the case. It is a great product. The only reason I am giving it 4 out of 5 instead of 5 out of 5 is because it doesn't fit as snuggly as I would like. It moves around. Otherwise it is great!
