Absolute lifesaver so glad I bought it.
I was so glad I'd backed up hundreds of totally irreplaceable photos when my old pc packed up. I could just connect the external hard drive they were backed up on to my new computer. What I then DIDN'T think to do (muppetry of the highest order) was back them up again! Subsequently the Iomega external drive they were on failed. My wife & I were devastated - photos of our grandchildren's earliest years, weddings, holidays, Christmases just gone. So much so that we contemplated sending the broken drive to one of those data recovery companies - although we know the cost is often enormous. I read up on the problem & wondered if the drive really was done for or maybe it was the power supply to it. An electrical tester showed the supply cable was fine. I'd discovered that the sealed (they are sealed - no screws - no easy way to open them) cabinet would just contain an interface & a standard SATA 3.5" hard drive. I thought maybe if I could get it out of the cabinet without damaging it, I could fit it in my pc but was told you can't. I didn't know about docks like this. As a last resort before shelling out hundreds of pounds for professional help, I bought this dock. After very carefully breaking open the cabinet on my "broken" hard drive I detached it from the interface card & (praying) slotted it into this dock. The dock powered up the drive immediately & within minutes had rescued all those precious memories. A wonderful simple device it connected to my Windows 11 pc faultlessly just as it purports to do. The best ยฃ28 I've ever spent. The drive itself is solid & well made of decent materials. Furthermore, not only has it got me out of an awful situation, it was obviously only the interface that had failed so the dock has given the 1TB Samsung drive a new lease of life for just ยฃ27.99. Suffice it to say I have created multiple back ups of my important things now! Whatever you need this quality product for, I'm sure it's simplicity of use & great results will impress you.

Spare drives
No issues with delivery as arrived in good condition and on time. On opening the box the item looked good, but the lid felt plastic when using and this I felt should of been metal or hard plastic. The item worked well when drives were inserted and used, with the speed being good, however the smaller drives were a bit tricky to release from holder but this could be down to my large fingers. I would still recommend this drives as made life easier swopping my drives except took a bit longer with small ones. Other than that this is an excellent product and well worth getting if you have extra drives you need files from but don't need sitting in your computer and as you do not need to use screws, just open lid insert drive into it then plug into a Usb port on you computer which makes it easy to setup, install and use. Recommended.

Great docking station
Great docking station, no problem installing or using. Put my old MS W7 in works great. Storage depends on the size of the hard drive you use, very quiet when running.

Excellent device
This an excellent device with no setup required. I have used on both SSD and HDD and it works well and really fast. I am using it as extra storage from drives taken from my old pc. A super product

Avoid this product at all cost - Cheap Dangerous PSU (Shorted Immediately out of the box)
I purchased this drive reader to move and organise all my various bits of Data held over 6x Drives. I wish I never had as I now have 5x working drives. Before powering anything on, I connected my 1TB hard drive to the drive reader and ensured all connections were fully seated. I then connected the power supply to the mains, making sure it was securely plugged in, before connecting the 12V output to the drive reader. As soon as I switched the mains power on, there was a very loud bang from both the power supply and the drive reader. As an electronic engineer, I inspected the power supply and it is clear there has been a catastrophic failure, most likely a short circuit across the PCB within the power supply. Unfortunately, this failure has destroyed my drive reader, which I rely on for accessing and transferring work files. More seriously, it has also damaged my Western Digital 1TB hard drive containing over 200 hours of work. The drive stored product design files, including design iterations, final versions, revisions, and other project data with significant professional value. I am extremely disappointed that a faulty power supply has caused damage not only to itself but also to multiple pieces of equipment and, more importantly, the irreplaceable data stored on my hard drive. Luckily this was my smallest drive and I hadn't yet plugged in my 8Tb Seagate Drive. Additionally, after a brief conversation with the Amazon Customer Care team, all they have offered is a refund on the goods. This item is a extremely cheaply made drive reader with a PSU which costs less than $0.20 to make and is the reason why I have now lost all my data. This has surprised me mostly with Amazons lack of accountability, on this matter.

Nella confezione, oltre all'unitร principale sono presenti l'alimentatore, il cavo USB 3 Type-A to Type-B per il trasferimento dati e la manualistica a supporto.
