Worked for my 1989 Ford Bronco
I think some people may be using this tool wrong, hence some negative reviews... I used this tool to COMPRESS the fuel line connector and fuel rail port TOGETHER on my 1989 FORD BRONCO. I simply could not exert enough force to squeeze them together AND slip my fuel line disconnect tool under the retainer spring at the same time. I did not have to touch the blue disconnect tool; when I used the pliers to compress the fuel rail port and fuel line connector together, the connector simply slipped over the blue tool. Once the blue disconnect tool was under the retainer spring, I removed the pliers and had to work the fuel line out of the fuel rail port while keeping the disconnect tool under the retainer spring and it finally slipped out. It did take a lot of effort to do that by virtue of how old the original fuel line is, but it eventually came off with some coaxing. I took a couple photos of how to position the tools, without reinstalling the fuel line (I wasn't going to do that another time just for show). I hope this review helps anyone who has or is considering purchasing this tool.

When you need it...
Used it for one project taking out a fuel tank. When you need it they are indespensable. It fit without a problem, but it felt a bit cheap even though it seems to be a good value. The design is easy to use and the grip isn't slick like some. Thickness seems to be ok, its not flimsy. Overall I would buy it again but have reservations about some minor design details.

Perfect for disconnecting Bmw 323i power steering hoses.
Definitely made removing power steering hoses from disconnect connections so much easier , safer and faster without damaging any components in the process. ESpecially for vehicles with very tight and restricted spaces to allow removal. still had to remove headlight assembly to gain easier and full access to the hoses and once the hoses were exposed the tool made so easy to disconnect. Highly recommend this quality and durable USA made tool.

A serious tool
Had a chance to look at this. No need to fix anything but when needed this is sure to do the job. Lisle makes some great stuff. Haven’t gone wrong yet. They are a bit pricey however.

Excellent
This changed my life! simple to use and works flawlessly. This is a specialty tool that you must use. I use it on my BMW E46 because it has all those hoses with plastic in metal couplings. This was a real simple tool to use, I had no idea this would be so useful. I wish I had this 5 years ago. Solid construction and does what it is supposed to do.

They don’t necessarily help
You’d think it’d be miracle but it’s really just false hope. Push the hose in while you push the disconnect tool in and it’ll seat and make a click noise, don’t pull until you hear the click or you’re playing yourself (I’d know). This didn’t do squat on my 04 duramax fuel lines but it’s well made

The 50's Kid sent me here. Performing a power steering line refresh on my 2001 BMW E46 3 Series and this simple little tool from Lisle made the job just that much easier. Honesty, not sure how I would have gotten the quick connect hose off with it. It's paid for itself after 1 job in my opinion. Solid construction. My only regret is not ordering the Lisle CV Boot pliers at the same since one of the replacement hoses uses CV Boot style clamps...

Worked flawlessly to remove my quick disconnect power steering hoses on my 2001 BMW 330ci. Without these it would have been extremely challenging with the likelihood off damaging one of the hoses that was not going to be replaced. Awesome product!
