First off I have to say, for the price this travel mug is the best purchase I've made in a very long time. I was looking for a travel mug for a while, and couldn't figure out which the best one for me was. I wanted something huge because I am tired of having 1 cup of tea and needing to make another (I know right, British problems) and I also wanted something that keeps my tea hot for a long time because I am tired of, due to my other issue, making large cups of tea and having to drink them fast because it gets cold too quickly. This travel mug is perfect. It keeps my tea hot for hours, and when I say hot I mean too hot to drink kind of hot. As I write this review I'm brewing a full travel mug of chai, with the lid off (which takes a long time to go cool due to the insulation being so good). By the time I've finished this review it'll still be far too hot to drink. Now on to specifics. The lid isn't completely spill-proof. If you turn this upside down when it's closed, it's gonna spill. It has a simple slider on the top to open / close it, leaving a decent sized mouthpiece to drink from. The lid can come apart completely when you want to wash it. That includes removing the slider from the lid as well as the seal around the lid (just use the handle of a teaspoon or something to force it off, being careful not to stretch it too much); you can clean literally every nook and cranny on this thing. The mug itself is stainless steel inside and out, with some pretty incredible insulation. Filling it with boiling water will not affect the outside of the mug at all. My kitchen is pretty cold so my travel mug is usually ice cold on the outside even when I've just filled it. Be aware of this with your first use, as I was expecting it to be at least warm. You can't warm your hands with this, put it that way. I use my mug every day, usually for chai. I rinse it out before each use, but I'd advise that you wash it properly after every 3-4 uses otherwise you get a metallic taste from the steel when you drink from it. This is typical of stainless steel though as you'll know if you've ever re-used stainless steel cutlery, so it's just standard stuff really. Just so you know, though, this isn't something you can keep in your car and refill every day for a week without washing it out and still preserve the taste. It does need regular cleaning. Last point: When this mug is full, it's quite heavy. It is very big, fitting (by coffee maker standards) 7-8 cups of coffee, with milk on top of that, and it'll last you all day at a good heat. Obviously the more empty it is, the less it stays hot, but the cup narrows towards the bottom which helps that area stay warmer when there's less in there. I've taken this on the train, into town and walked around shopping with my girlfriend and it was a bit of a pain to carry around due to its size. Just bear that in mind; this cup is around 100ml less than a litre, so it is large. All in all though I can't fault this mug at all. I do love it, I use it every day instead of regular cups / mugs at home because it keeps my drinks warm for so long and I love large cups of tea. If this ever breaks (can't see why it would, it's sturdy) I will definitely be buying another. And I paid what, £13 for it? Bargain!

Update 6/7/18 Didn’t think I could praise this cup any more but .... because of the scorching weather , I have been using it for cold drinks .. This is no lie .. I have made an orange and soda drink in it , topped it with ice , left it by my bed to have a cold drink in the night , and it still has ice in it the following morning .. so I tested it .. I’ve left an ice topped drink in the cup for nearly a day , the ice had melted , but the drink was very chilled and cold ! How amazing is that ! Buy one , use it for hot , use it for cold , I’ve even taken hot beans in it for work .. it’s an outstanding cup .. The best I’ve ever owned Was a little sceptical about spending this amount of money on a coffee holder to be honest , but certainly happy I did .. I make a large latte from my bean to coffee machine . I like 5 shots in mine topped with hot milk .. so I make mine at about 7.30 am and I probably finish drinking it any where between 11am and 12.30pm depending how busy I am at work .. The coffee is as hot at the finish as when I made it .. superb .. The cup is sturdy and strong and it fits , just about , in my Kuga cup holder ,although I have to be careful when using the handbrake on and off .. It sits nicely on a flat surface and doesn’t easily get tipped over .. What I don’t like about the cup It’s says it’s not dishwasher happy , that I can cope with .. The lid IS NOT liquid proof .. if your carrying it and you bend over or tip it , you will get hot liquid o yourself so be warned .. burnt hand , lesson sorely learnt on that .. just seen that it is possible to take the lid apart for cleaning , but this can be time consuming and also may damage the actual lid if not careful ? Hopefully the designers could come up with a solution for this liquid spillage (. A screw lid system ? ) and an easier way of cleaning the slider part ? I would have given full stars, if it went for the spillage and cleaning issue , as this product does what it says and delivers a red hot drink for several hours .. Update ... I can not fault this companies customer care . I messaged them via Facebook with a problem I had created myself through being heavy handed , they messaged me back within 10 mins offering me a replacement ! To say I was surprised and so delighted is an understatement. 10/10 on customer care !

Huge mug which keeps drinks hot for a long time! Only snag is that it is too big for some of my work vans so be mindful of the size. It will bot fit in a Vauxhall Vivaro, Renault Master or similar. Otherwise a great buy!

Out of the box you can see that this is an outstanding high quality product that stands head and shoulders above the competition, manufactured in high grade dual skin stainless steel and presented in the classic brushed steel finish, it looks and feels good from head to toe. In performance it doesn’t lag and maintains an impressive level of heat in soups, teas & coffee’s and even baked beans and then remarkably frankfurters stored in hot water for use in hotdogs on Guy Fawkes night. The capacity of this vessel is amazing and will easily hold three standard teacups of tea or your favourite bevvy. Heat retention is very good with fluids staying at a drinkable temperature for well up to 5 hours in practice and food for roughly the same duration. Now before use it’s always a good tip to remove the lid and fill with as near to boiling water as possible in order to prime the vessel before emptying and filling with your chosen drink. Now a word of advise is to sit the lid in a little hot water before refitting in order to soften the rubber seal which then gives it a tighter more secure leak free contact between lid and steel. As for cold drinks, again I pre chill mine with chilled water from the fridge prior to filling with squashes, fruit juices, or beer because I find this beneficial in prolonging it’s insulative properties and elongating it’s service time to you the user. Overall i’ve been hugely impressed by this product and use it regularly for cold drinks and for food use when on holidays abroad in Cyprus. A real winner for me and I have no hesitation in recommending this Mannhart travel mug to anyone who may be lost by the huge choice of mugs available here on Amazon, be warned though, this is not your regular sized type of travel mug you might see for sale in garages or Coffee outlets like the Wild Bean Cafe or Costa’s Oh no!! This one is definitely your man sized champions league trophy travel mug, but brilliant with it.

Great for those who love a large amount of tea or coffee to start the day, or if you like a large smoothie and want it to stay cold. I have one at home and one at work as they truly change the way you hydrate, it keeps cold things cold and warm things warm so you always have what you want. Recommended for anyone, just don’t tip it over with the lid on as it will leak horrendously.

This travel mug is an absolute beast! made a hot drink at 9am and it was still hotter than warm at 4pm. Holds six regular cups of whatever you drink and is very stylish. However, why oh why didn't you fit it with a screw lid Mannhart? This would be the perfect travel mug if it didn't leak, and leak badly. Brilliant for a busy office absolutely terrible if you need to carry it anywhere in a bag. Such a shame.

If you don’t own one one these, you must order now!! Fantastic at keeping hot or cold. Ordered the handle as well. Doesn’t really fit either of my vehicles though despite being standard size (too tall and slightly too wide). Takes 3 mugs to fill. Best Travel Mug you’ll ever buy.

Hält wirklich warm. Sieht gut aus. Passt ins Auto (oder im meinem fall Stapler) Mit dem Volumen komme ich auch einige stündchen aus. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen 🤙

Der Thermobecher tut was er soll. In der Artikelbeschreibung steht eindeutig und klar für jeden zu verstehen: *** Bitte beachten Sie, dass der Schiebedeckel nicht absolut dicht ist. Übermäßiges Schütteln oder Kippen des Bechers kann dazu führen, dass der Inhalt austritt. Der Becher wird für den Gebrauch in Innenräumen oder im Fahrzeug empfohlen. *** Für den Preis unschlagbar gut. Klare Kaufempfehlung.

Super Produkt, einzieger Nachteil: der Deckel ist nicht 100% dicht. Ansonsten hälst der Becher sehr warm und auch kalte Produkte behalten lange ihre Temeperatur

Um den anderen Bewertungen mal eins vorwegzunehmen. Ja, der Becher ist nicht zu 100% dicht. ABER☝🏼 Wenn die "besonderen" Menschen, die den Becher bemängeln, die Beschreibung richtig lesen würden, würden sie merken, dass er auch nicht als 100% dicht angepriesen wird🙄 Fazit: Absolut unschlagbarer Preis Hochwertiger Becher aus Edelstahl Gute Verarbeitung Treuer Begleiter im Auto

Der Thermobecher an sich ist von guter Qualität und hält die Getränke heiß, der Verschluss jedoch ist nur eine Art Stöpsel, den man oben in den Becher drücken muss und ausläuft. Auch ist die Form zum trinken sehr unangenehm und nicht an den Mund angepasst.
