Works Perfectly with Stencils! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The media could not be loaded. I’ve had great results using this scorch paste with both silkscreen and mylar stencils. It applies smoothly, doesn’t bleed under the design, and gives a clean, professional finish once heat is applied. Definitely recommend it for anyone doing wood burning or craft projects with detailed stencils.I found no smell with the paste and the paste turns the wood a yellow color, so you know we're you have already added the paste.I've used the same bottle container of paste for the past 6 months. I little goes a very long way.

The pens aren't great
I love the gel, it works wonderfully, and it will last a long time so your money goes a long way! It's thick enough that it doesn't bleed, even on soft woods.

Great for the price!
Great stuff, I used it to burn in a logo from a stencil on a table top. Very happy with results!

Easy to use, and works very well!
We love using this to burn designs onto wood! By using a Cricut template or a stencil of some sort, you apply the paste very thinly, and blow on it with a heat gun until it’s the darkness you desire! The tub is very tiny. You will probably be surprised when you open the package. It lasts a long time, though, as you only need a very thin layer. Scrape as much as you can off, and put it back in the tub for future use.One thing I will caution… If you are putting a poly over the top of your burned wood, you need to wipe off as much of the leftover paste as you can after you have burned your design and it has cooled. Otherwise it shows up as a milky white/yellow color during the poly process. Once the poly has dried completely, it usually dries clear, but don’t mess with it when it’s partially dry, or it may remove a part of your burned design. It’s fun, and easy to use, but there is a learning process. My 12 year old son used it for decorative cutting boards and coasters he sold in his Kids’ Business Fair booth, and he sold nearly everything with a burned design on it! Attached is a picture of the booth as we were setting it up, along with some pictures of items he sold in the process of being prepared and burned. He did not do all of the applying/burning, but he was very involved.

Fun. Easy.
The possibilities of fun with wood are endless with this product! Definitely want to apply an even coat when using.

It did what it was supposed to
I didn't get the dark values i was wanting and I'm not sure how I'm going to remedy this. I had a high heat heat gun so it wasn't that it didn't get hot enough. And i put the gel on evenly but it just didn't evenly darken. I lay try a second coat and see what it does. The scorch pens seem to darken better. But i have alot of space to cover with a pen. Sigh.

Great for class projects
I'm a teacher and I buy most of my supplies, so I have to bargain shop. I chose wisely on this product! We were having a lesson on Ammonium Chloride in my engineering class around Christmas time, so I had them use this Scorch Paste to decorate some wooden ornaments. It worked perfectly! The boys weren't as artistic as I hoped they'd be, but they had fun, and the lesson was successful. The best part is that I'll have plenty of Scorch Paste to last for many, many years to come. We barely made a dent in one of them!
