Perfection
I purchased these to go alongside my ScanWatch and they work seamlessly together which makes the whole package perfect for my needs. The unit itself appears to be well manufactured and is certainly featured packed even if some of the features are not required on a set of scales !! In use these scales have proven to be very accurate when used correctly on a solid floor and not on carpet. I can happily say this as due to health issues I am currently being monitored closely by my local hospital and the results from their equipment and these scales are near on identical given the different times etc that the readings are taken . One other point that absolutely amazed me was that upon the first use and after syncing with the app the app advised me to have my bone density checked as it appeared that the reading given was low. This also confirmed to me that I made the right choice in buying these as a couple of years ago now I was diagnosed with osteoporosis for which I am long term medication to address this. This was something that I certainly did not expect from a set of scales. There was nothing difficult in setting up of the scales , in fact it was quite easy as the app does all the hard work for you. Updates were done automatically through the app which was certainly no different than updating any other item over the internet. All in all I for one am delighted with these scales, they have proved to be a good investment and well worth that little extra than the normal bathroom scales especially if you have health issues which you are attempting to address. I for one would not hesitate to recommend these as they are simply a amazing piece of kit.

Best scales I’ve ever owned.
Love it. Easy to set up and your weight and body data goes straight to the app. If you have an iWatch or similar the app picks up activity/exercise, heart, respiratory, oxygen and sleep data.

Good but troublesome.
UPDATE: 3 months later and after 2 software updates for the scale and 3 app updates, I am please to say that this device and app are working perfectly and as I had hoped. Now my body fat and BMI are actively being synced to the Apple Health app instead of being stuck in the app. My weight goes directly to Apple Health instead of via MyFitnessPal. I would definitely recommend this to someone looking to monitor their progress using smart devices. ———————————————— This product isn't as smooth and stream line as you would expect. It can be quite buggy and cumbersome when combining it with the Nokia Health Mate app. In a household of 3 people, it will either show an icon saying that it doesn't recognise you at all or it will ask you to let it know who you are by leaning left or right. On the upside to this, if you look through the app, it will let you know that a weighing was made but not assigned to someone, giving you the opportunity to assign it to your self thus triggering the device to identify you the next time. (hopefully) The symbols that pop up on on the device screen are not very helpful and there is no obvious guide to be found, so a lot of guess work is required. I almost decided to return the item when syncing it to the app for the first time didn't work. The issue was that you had to choose the correct product name in order to start the process. However, the actual device name didn't work and I had to select the name of the next model up. The app was recently updated, Jan 2018, and a few of its features are working now instead of giving zero as a weighing result. Overall, if you have the patience, it is a good product. I use it every morning after the gym and so far the data it is giving me is helpful.

An Honest Users Review
After seeing all the positive reviews, I had high hopes for these scales. Unfortunately, they’re not as great as everyone seems to make out. 1 – Accuracy isn’t 100% tbh. It is very easy to do 5 readings and get varying results on each test, I’ve seen it up to 3lbs out over 5 weigh-ins within 90 seconds of each other. I’ve also noticed that depending on how you stand on the scale, you will easily get different results. Stepping onto the scale with your left foot first and then trying again straight away with your right foot first I can get a 2lbs difference in weight. For me personally it seems to not take long enough to allow the reading / scale time to settle when you’re on them. As you know / can see depending how straight you’re standing up the scale weight will change. So, when I get on the weight changes 3-6 times p and down within 1-2 seconds and then bang, it takes the reading. Scales I’ve had in the past, you see it do the same thing. But then you see them level off at a weight and the scale clearly waits 2-3 more seconds before finalising the reading it gives you. With the above always on my mind, it always leaves me thinking about doing another couple of weigh ins in the hopes of getting a more accurate result. But then what’s the point in that? 2 – I believe the scale should show you your weight, fat mass, muscle mass and water on screen. But 75% of the time I don’t get the muscle mass figure appear. Which again leaves me wondering why and what is different to the times when I do get that reading? Also, the calculated readings like fat mass, muscle mass etc are far to erratic tbh. I’m not sure what mathematic calculations they’re using, but my weight can go down and at the same time my BMI can go up and then vice versa. This is the same for all readings, fat mass, muscle mass etc. On the days when I’m weighing less, fat mass and BMI can be up from the days before when I’m weighing more. So this doesn’t fill you with confidence in the scale either. 3 – The app – I like it, it seems like a lot of effort has gone into it from someone or a team. The insights are very good, the way it interacts with you, asking if you would like to know more about x, y and z I think is great. However, if you do take multiple readings at the same time, it records them all and you must delete the ones you don’t want manually. But when they’re all different how do you know what one to delete? You’ll always delete the ones showing you the worst results lol These scales are used by myself and my wife with brand new batteries. We both have the same issues stated above. So, whilst they’re a scale, I don’t have much faith that they’re the best out there, or the best quality / best made. I don't feel I can recommmend these based on my usage.

Quick to carry out measurement & talk to my app
Quick to carry out measurement. A word of caution - you need to use the same spot to do the measurement otherwise result very varible. Mind you that is common with other too

set-up issues. Work well and accurate, expensive in comparison to others. Cautious Recommendation
Had big problems getting the scales to connect to my phone and the Withings App. Eventually I got it working and I still don’t know why it suddenly worked. Once working the scales seem pretty accurate and give consistent readings. Did have a glitch where my wife (who has an account) got on the scales but the reading appeared in my account. Given their price I am not sure that the Withings scales are much better than cheaper ones. However they are well made, look good and the Withings app is highly informative. Cautious recommendation. Pros Readings from the scales seem consistent. I took 6 readings with a minute between them and all the readings were within 0.1% of each other. Several reviews suggest that they are as accurate as the larger machines found in many Gyms. Withings App works well and is highly informative. The scales are well made and look good. Cons Set up took about 45 minutes and failed several times and I can’t see why. My phone showed that its Bluetooth had connected to the scales but the initial software update to the scales failed twice and the Withings app was not seeing a connection to the scales. I ended up forgetting the Bluetooth connection on my phone and then reconnecting to the scales from the Bluetooth menu on my phone, then the Withings app recognised the scales. Had a glitch where my wifes readings were sent to my account but These could be deleted. It seems that these scales may not be able to connect to google health connect that then allows connection between reading from fitbit and Withings apps so that, for example when you use the Withings scales your weight is used by your fitbit app. This is a great idea and I have set it all up but not sure yet that it is working. If not, then it seems a lot of money for a smart scale that can’t integrate with your fitbit device. Not sure that these scales are any better than much cheaper options that are well reviewed by major tech sites.
