Does this work with a usb c extension cable on the input cable?

Not sure. My experience with most USB devices and USB extension cables is that if the cable is strong and capable of fast data transfer they tend to be OK. The length of the cable also can affect the ability of the docking adaptor as well because the longer the cable the slower the data transfer. Hope that helps a bit.

Is it compatible with the latest lenovo x1 gen 10 to connect 2 external monitors both via hdmi?

if it has a usb C or thunderbolt port it will work, just be aware of resolution limitations : When connecting external monitors, the resolution can support a maximum of 4K@30Hz + 2K@60Hz for two monitors, and a maximum of 1080P for three monitors.

Can I connect both my desktop and laptop to this docking station? I'm looking for a dual monitor solution for both my computers.

I use this on my LG laptop and have it running 3 monitors including the laptop's Screen all at the same time. However it will be dependent on your laptop and desk top need to Suport it.

More reliable than the genuine Apple adapter, not 4k

I’ve always had problems with the genuine Apple version of this when I plug in my SSD, it says not enough power available. This 3rd party version though works absolutely fine. The only downside is it does not provide a 4k image, it is only 1080p and blurry.

Switch compatible

This is the first one of these that actually works as a mini dock for the switch. I have tried a few and I was so happy when this one worked. I have now got this one in place so I can easily just plug it in and set it up with out worrying about trying to line it up in the dock or taking off the protective case. Overall i would gladly use this as a mini dock and will be getting another one for my office so can easily switch between living room TV or my office monitors.
