Rich, bold, deep and delicious
This is a bold coffee, not a delicate one, with some earthy, chocolatey, and spicy notes. I make this in a Moka Pot where it offers up a deep brew, full of body, that dilutes with hot water wonderfully to make an Americano. It also brews up nicely in a Moccamaster or other drip machine, giving a rich brew with a bit more sugar/caramel notes than with the Moka. Finally, it makes a nice Vietnamese-style coffee when ground medium-fine and brewed in a phin filter.

Very taste
Coffee is very smooth without a bitter taste. I like it very much. Great iced coffee treat.

nice stuff!
Delicious, earthy, bitter chocolate, and rich in flavor! Excellent with a touch of cream, or soy milk.

A Thick, Morning-Jolt Espresso That Delivers on Crema
I’ve been testing out different whole-bean varieties for my morning routine, looking for a blend that can give me that heavy, café-style body without costing an absolute arm and a leg. Since I normally start my day with a double shot or a quick latte, I decided to pick up this 2.2 lb bag of Caffè Borbone Espresso Intenso to see if a 100% Robusta option could offer a reliable, everyday caffeine kick. My main expectation going into this was to get a dark, low-acidity profile that produces a massive layer of crema and can stand up well against milk. After dialing in my grinder and pulling shots for a couple of weeks, I can safely say it met what I was looking for. The biggest highlight here is undoubtedly the crema. Because it’s a 100% Robusta blend, it pulls a incredibly thick, dense top layer that gives the espresso a heavy, rich mouthfeel. Flavor-wise, it’s exactly what it says on the bag: intense. It leans into deep, dark cocoa notes with a distinct, toasted finish and practically zero sourness or fruitiness. If you use it for cappuccinos or iced lattes, the flavor cuts straight through the dairy, so your coffee never tastes watered down or lost. On the negative side, you have to be ready for the sheer strength of a pure Robusta coffee. The flavor is very straightforward and earthy, so if you prefer complex, bright, or fruity light roasts, this definitely isn't the style for you. Also, because these beans are on the darker side, they can be a bit oily. If you’re running them through a fully automatic machine, you'll need to keep an eye on your hopper and grinder to ensure the oils don't gunk things up over time. When it comes to value for money, the size of the bag for the price point is totally fair. It’s a practical, no-nonsense utility item for your kitchen if you just need a strong, dependable daily driver to wake you up in the morning. It did exactly what I expected it to do.

Very Smooth
We were looking for an alternative to Ily, which is suffering delays, and the 2.2 lb. bag was on sale so we gave it a go. So glad we did. Dark, oily beans. It is very smooth, great flavor - hints of I don't get off in the weeds of pretension with notes of try-it-you'll-like-it.

The worst espresso I've ever had, by a wide margin.
The worst espresso beans I've ever had. First off, the bag was 5 months old when it arrived. I opened it up, made a shot, and while the shot came out pretty much perfectly, I couldn't take more than a sip. It tasted worse than the worst espresso I've had at the worst mom n' pop coffee place--the kind of place where when you ask for a shot of espresso, they reply, "You mean just the coffee?" I dumped out the rest ten minutes ago, and my tongue is still partially numb. The worst part about it is, Amazon won't accept a return. Never have I been so frustrated at wasting such a small amount of money.

The perfect Italian espresso
Bold, super creamy, low acidity, high caffeine kick, notes of chocolate and roasted nuts. This is the closest you're going to get to an authentic Italian espresso served in a local cafe off the beaten path.

Smooth and strength
Great coffee for a great price. It has a nice mix of flavor, strength and smoothness when making cappuccinos.
