I'm guessing about 1-2mm thick. Not easy to bend at all without a good hammer. The matching black steak knives are very sharp and have paper protective sleeves. I carry my own utensils to work and while traveling. Also black, I put a steak knife in my travel set. It looks like the black finish will survive many rounds in the dishwasher. But, I handwash all my dishes because there aren't that many to clean since I wash them while cooking. This is a great flatware set to have in the dorms or any kitchen.
