V15 Detect Cordless Vacuum Cleaner, Yellow/Nickel

I have 2 dogs and 2 cats. I swear they get naked each night and re-grow all of their fur just before I crawl out of bed. I can’t begin to explain the fur that rolls through my house like tumble weeds. I was on a high dose of Prozac when I accumulated these animals. Now that I’m not, I can’t understand what possessed me to think this many animals was a good idea (it was the Prozac) but I love them a LOT so here I am. Life was looking bleak until I decided to spend an idiotic amount of money on this vacuum hoping and praying my life would somehow change if I had the right tool to help me. Well, guess what?! My life has changed!! I vacuum every single day and I don’t mind doing it! This vacuum with its glowing green light shows me all the fur and dirt. I vacuum it up and it’s gone! I can see my floors getting clean, and it’s such a rewarding feeling - accomplishment and JOY! The vacuum zips along, light, no cord to trip over, and it’s not a big deal. It doesn’t even feel like a chore. No more fur bunnies! No more grit! It sucks up the cat litter and doesn’t spray it all over the house! It vacuums up leaves from the ficus tree! I can vacuum the whole house on a charge - about 1500 square feet - on eco mode. I show it off to everyone who enters my home. If it came in different colors I might get a second one and start a collection. If I’m waiting for my toast to pop, I grab the vacuum and zip around the kitchen. I can vacuum and talk on the phone because vacuuming is easy and quiet! Yeah, I love this life changing wonder of a machine! Other people might not be as enthralled with it as I am. I can only say - I love it. If vacuuming is a big part of your life, gift yourself with the right tool if you can. You’re worth it!

I love this vacuum! At first I thought it felt top heavy because I was used to the motor and canister being at the bottom of the machine on other vacuums I had. But by the second time using it I was used to it and found how easy it is to maneuver and get under furniture and in tight spaces. The light really shows how much it picks up. It actually dusts the bare floors besides picking up bigger particles. I actually enjoy vacuuming with this vacuum because I can actually see the difference it makes. Especially with pet fur and dander.

I've never had a vacuum like this before! OMG! I can't stop using it. It is very lightweight which is good for my old arms so they don't tire out, but is extremely powerful at picking up dirt and hair. I love my robot floor vacuum, but this Dyson is so lightweight and extremely fast that I'm going to put the robot one on another level of the house and use the Dyson for the main level. The Dyson does the main level in about 15 min, whereas the robot would take a long time to complete and would get stuck on something occasionally. I love that the Dyson has a light so that you can see all the dust on your floors. I never realized just how much dirt was on my floors until it showed me. The carpet attachment is superb. I always thought the robot vacuum got everything off my rugs, but I was very wrong. I ran the Dyson across my area rugs for the first time and was shocked that the dirt bin was completely full (and that was after I had run the robot the day before!) You won't regret buying this vacuum. So far so good and I'm very satisfied with my purchase. I hope it stays that way. This review is given freely and I received no compensation at all. After one year my V15 has stopped working. There are no blockages and the filter is clean. I have 2 batteries, both of which are fully charged. Dyson support is of no help. Dyson requires an invoice receipt before they will help with any warranty issue. They do not accept the order summary provided by Amazon as a proof of purchase. This machine costs too much to be non-functional after 1 year of use. Buyer Beware! Dyson support may be of no help if you encounter a problem. As for me, I will never purchase another Dyson product.

rated as the best vacuum in many categories from rtings.com, most notably pet hair, i bought it on their recommendation alone because i love the guys. and its a beast. i actually kind of ENJOY vacuuming with this thing, just because ive never had a cordless experience before this vacuum, either. i tested against my robot vacuum, which ofc doesnt get everything a proper vacuum will get, but also against my previous corded vacuum, and still, it grabs plenty. anti-tangle head, the head with the light on it is a game changer for non carpet (hardwood, tile, etc) surfaces. the design is minimal, well thought out, and its easy to swap stuff around. finally, a vacuum where you actually care about the different attachments and use them. its just so easy and powerful. BUT, nothings perfect. none of this stops me from giving it 5 stars, the vacuum is that good, but one thing ALMOST did get me to do it, and well start with that first: and that, is that this vacuum DOES try to speed up and slow down depending on what is happening. if it detects more dust, or detects that the airflow has slowed down (because you just went on to thicker carpet, or if something is blocking the pipe, etc), it will of course speed up to continue vacuuming well. the issue though? on some carpet, even if nothing of particular note is going on, it will actually keep speeding up to the point where it will completely stop. as in, the roller will stop spinning, and its quite annoying, particularly because the specific carpet in my case, that im talking about, doesnt even seem that thick or anything. it just randomly bogs itself down until it stops. seems like a pretty bad issue. but thankfully, in my case, after changing the software settings on its sensitivity to the lowest, and ALSO moving the "switch" on the carpet head to the one that allows the most airflow, it doesnt happen anymore. so im basically a happy camper. BUT, i could definitely see these changes not actually helping if your carpet is thick or "weird" enough. whats not in the options, is the ability to turn off the adapting system. that would be very helpful for people with this kind of carpet. its also not that light. i was hoping it would be lighter, and of course the battery is going to be heavy and theres not much you can do that other than completely innovating a new type of battery (which people are working on), i still thought it would be lighter even without the battery. but its not a big deal. the only thing its missing is automatic drive (so it will push itself, mostly for older folks). and again, i understand thats a mostly unreasonable ask because were talking about a battery operated device here. it just sucks because, if it had that, theres pretty much nothing it doesnt do, and very well. i have a golden retriever, and for anyone in the know about these doggos, their hair shedding is among the worst, at least for its type. i honestly didnt believe the anti-tangle brush would work - but it does! it has not tangled a single time yet, and ive put it through its paces in spite of only having it a few months so far. still likely the best vacuum in existence right now. if you need the best, and dont have extra thick carpet, dont even look further - especially if you have a dog.

I was hesitant to buy this vacuum because I previously owned a Dyson and I was not impressed. This model however, is great. The stick is convenient to use and fairly lightweight, far easier to maneuver than my old canister vac. The pros on this unit: lightweight, cordless, easy to store, easy to empty the dust bin, and it picks up an insane amount of dust. The cons: the motor at the handle can get a little heavy, it does not stand up by itself, you have to hold the trigger button constantly because if you let go, the vacuum stops. (This is why I gave it 4 stars). So far, I haven’t had any issues with the battery but I plan to buy a second one. This vacuum is perfect for cleaning your car, getting under the furniture, or maneuvering around the fridge. I recommend this product.

I am upgrading from the V10 animal Dyson. This vacuum is much better in three ways. It has better vacuum and somehow picks up the dirt off of the tile instead of pushing it around like the V10 animal did. It's also great on carpets. I can set it on the medium height and that works for hardwoods in the carpets. And it's much better at getting the dog hair from my Great Pyrenees dogs off the carpet. Also, the filter lasts much longer than on the V10. On the V10 I would have to clean the filters every three times I used it. I've had this v15 for about a month now and the filter is still fine. Lastly, this vacuum is much quieter than the V10. I run it on the medium mode which has it run quietly until it detects dirt and then it runs the vacuum at a higher power. Oh also the wheels roll much more quietly on the tile. The old V10 used to make a lot of noise every time it hit a groove in the tile but I think the newer one must have softer rubber Wheels because it's much quieter.
