Waterproof and good for underwater macro photography
This light is very small and lightweight. It would be good for diving if the light was a lot brighter though. I use it for snorkeling in the river and looking at animals and interesting things underwater. I found it was really helpful for some of my underwater macro photography. I was able to use it to illuminate some tiny creatures and their constructions to get better photos of them. It uses one AAA battery, so the battery life isn't great. It starts out nice and bright, but the intensity of the beam eventually fades the battery life. I found it was good for one dive before I thought it was too dim to be useful underwater. So, I think using the highest quality, long-lasting batteries is the best strategy. I used it during daylight, where it was useful for looking under rocks in the river for turtles or fish. I also found it worked well in areas shaded from direct sunlight to find things like freshwater sponges. Even during daylight, it did illuminate those shady areas well. The light has a lanyard that you can use to hold onto it. It also has a clip to use to attach it to your dive mask. I found that the angle wasn't favorable when using it that way, so I used it handheld and removed the mask clip. It was hard to get the clip off though. The light beam is fixed focus and cannot be adjusted, which is appropriate for a light to be used underwater. Any adjustable parts are areas that could let water inside the housing, so most dive lights I have used are not adjustable-beam. The switch is a tail switch, with a rubber covering. There are O-rings to keep out the water in the battery compartment. The product description says it's waterproof to 150 meters. I wasn't diving with it so I didn't test it at that depth. I went at most 12 feet deep. Overall, a good lightweight light. I think it would be useful as a backup light for divers, who normally have much brighter rechargeable lights that they carry. It's great for snorkeling. And I found it useful for underwater photography and finding things to look at. I recommend it.

Nice Light. Bright. Functional For Its Purpose.
See the attached video. Very bright. I could not take a video of it underwater because of a Bluetooth relay problem, but I am swimming in the Gulf of Mexico. I paired this with a new prescription diving mask. This is not a high-intensity light that will cover a large area. It will be a great light when you are in clear(er) water and want to see something that is within 3 or 4 feet. It is more powerful than it looks because most snorkeling people do is done during the day, so there is a lot of light from the sun. For my purposes, it works fine: snorkeling in fairly shadow depth (<12 ft), getting close to the sea floor, and looking at shells and crab holes. I like that it uses a traditional battery (vs. rechargeable). When you take off the cap to add or replace the battery, it has a LONG set of threads. This is a good sign because it is a design decision that increases the likelihood that water won't leak into the battery compartment. The powder coating appears to be well done, but we'll see if it holds up over time, especially with saltwater.

No secure band included
FYI - As the set comes with a stainless steel mask attachment, it does NOT include the rubber straps to secure the light onto the mask attachment. The mask Attachment has the capability of holding the rubber straps, however they are not included. Haven’t used the light underwater yet.

Nice little waterproof flashlight
Pros: compact, not heavy, painted metal construction (not cheap/plastic), metal clip is attached pretty firmly so won’t just fall off, fairly bright for such a small light, confirmed that it is waterproof, uses a single AAA battery, can put clip onto safety/regular glasses (not just scuba mask), quality of craftsmanship is fair - good with a simple design, easy to use, free sticker included, lanyard included, lots of texturing/ridges so not slippery in water at all. Cons: really small (but good size for how designed to go next to face), metal clip is firmly attached so kinda hard to take off & scratches paint every time (see pic of damage from gently taking off/on just a couple times), paint scratches extremely easily, battery not included, lanyard pretty hard to thread thru hole to attach. Note: Did not go diving with it so I don’t know how it does with pressure of being underwater or in darkness underwater. Overall I recommend this product

Not a Scuba diver
I'm not a Scuba diver, but I ordered this Aquatec Scuba Diving Light Headlamp because I though it might be a cool new flashlight for my collection. Turns out, no. It has a round lens that throws a strange beam (maybe specific for divers). The tail button is hard to operate. I wanted to remove the stainless steel mask clip from the flashlight and it scratched the black finish. The only thing I really liked about the light was that it used regular batteries - not sealed in rechargeables that can fail and not be replaced.

Great dive accessory!
This is a really great mini dive light. After I bought it, I was bummed that it wasn’t rechargeable, but then it occurred to me that changing the battery is far simpler than trying to find a place to charge on a boat, so now I consider that a positive not a negative. I did my best to capture an image of the shape of the beam and how bright it is at distance from my swimming pool, It is a very focused beam at 6 to 10 feet is still probably less than a foot in diameter. It’s actually probably bright enough to use as a primary light at night, but because of the focus pattern, it is best as a back up or a “pointer“ light. It comes with a small but robust clip so you can attach it to your mask. I’ll probably just put a lanyard on it and throw it in a pocket to point out items or to look into caves/dark spaces. The metal clip for your mask is very strong so it will scratch up the finish when taking it in and out. That’s the only reason I gave it four stars under ability… Even though this doesn’t bother me as it’s just cosmetic wear.
