It was like a jigsaw puzzle
I thought the book was really mysterious. It was like a jigsaw puzzle. When one mystery was solved, it just seemed to lead into a new one. Christopher, aged 9

Brilliant writer
This is a great book for imaginative animal lovers. We had to get this sequel after my son enjoyed 'The Last Wild' so much.

Another great book in this trilogy!
I bought this for my son who enjoyed the first part of The Dark Wild trilogy. Waiting for this book to come out seemed like waiting forever but I'm glad to report that it was worthwhile. My son loved this book just as much as he did the first and proceeded to tell me all about it as soon as he had finished it... right before jumping straight back in and reading it again! This book has great characters and an interesting story line which will keep children interested and entertained throughout. Highly recommended.

Ich bin kein Kind, lese aber eigentlich am liebsten Kinder-und Jugendbücher. Den ersten Band des Buches habe ich in einer Buchhandlung entdeckt und musste deswegen den zweiten direkt hinterherbestellen. Wer den ersten gelesen hat, sollte auf jeden Fall auch beim zweiten nicht Halt machen. Nur die weiße Taube fehlt ein wenig :) Für die Eltern: Ein wirklich tolles Buch, das zwar auch an manchen Stellen den Zeigefinger hebt, aber dies wirklich nur in einem Kontext tut, der sich auch auf unsere Welt übertragen lässt (Klimawandel etc.) Sehr empfehlenswert.

Loved the first book in the series. This one is also well written, but w little on the dark side for my 9 and 11 year old.
