Do you have to keep setting the day of the month?

Only when changes in the number of days in the month occur. My beef with the watch is because I'm sedentary a lot of the time being disabled, it never gets sufficient automatic winding so I have to wind it like an ordinary watch which is not easy.

Is the face scratch resistant? How accurate is it?

Hello, The glass is made of Hardlex which is a mineral with scratch resistant properties. On average this watch +/- 40 seconds a day.

Yes it is but 316 is still only a basic stainless steel. It's used becouse of its properties that allow a certain ammount of corrosion inhibitors while still allowing decent finishing of surfaces. It can still corrode if not cared for with basic maintenance, Rinse off salt deposits etc. Hope this helps.
