mitutoyo are one of the most counterfeited calipers out there
Mitutoyo is absolutely amazing. The 500mm version of this is currently around £350-£400; however, anyone thinking of buying one should be aware that they are heavily counterfeited (a victim of their superior quality), and they do not produce a grey one. If it is not a genuine one, you are paying a lot of money for a £40 calliper

Mit Messzertifikat
Früher hatte man "Made in Japan" noch belächelt, heute kann man froh sein so etwas zu bekommen. Selbst namhafte "deutsche" Messgräte stammen inzwischen größtenteils aus chinesischer Produktion. Der Messschieber ist zwar nicht gerade preisgünstig, aber jeden Euro wert.
