Gorilla Crystal Clear Tape, 1.88" x 18 yd, 1-Pack, Weather Resistant

This clear tape has become my preferred choice, and it is the only brand I rely on for all my repair and other needs. I have been purchasing this tape since its initial release. The adhesive quality significantly surpasses that of other tape brands. It is both easier to tear off a piece and much simpler to cut to the desired size. When applied correctly for leak prevention (ensuring the tape is smoothed out evenly with the appropriate tools), it maintains an incredibly strong hold. There is no need for concern; I previously utilized it to seal water out of a taillight that had a perforation, and it perfectly sealed and prevented water from entering. To give you an idea of how incredible this tape is for sealing, my taillight that I sealed with this tape was right above a sprinkler where I parked daily, and after applying it, zero water entered my taillight. Currently, I employ it for a wide range of repair needs, such as addressing an unintended hole in a plant pot or securing broken glass or a mirror. Once smoothed, it is virtually invisible unless specifically scrutinized. This tape offers a multitude of applications; I genuinely appreciate it because it eliminates the need for various different tapes or other materials to mend items—this single product accomplishes everything!

This stuff is amazing. It is NOT like the common clear packing tape from other brands. Gorilla does sell a packing tape, but Crystal Clear is fundamentally different. The tape backing itself is a vinyl based plastic, not the harder, stiff clear stuff. This gives it far superior workability because it is conformable to curving surfaces with odd curves. It doesn't stretch a lot, just enough to make it easy to cover curves. The adhesive is amazing and very sticky, it even works underwater assuming you get the air bubbles out from under it when you apply it. Third, and almost best of all, it is *highly* UV resistant. I can't tell that it ages in the sun at all, I have it in places which have been in the sun since I discovered this stuff, 7 *years* ago...and it is still stuck down tight and not crispy from sun exposure. I use this stuff everywhere and hope to god they never discontinue it. I quit buying the other packing tape style stuff since I discovered Gorilla Crystal Clear.

Quality is great. Value is on point. They could have had a tab so you could start the roll.

I honestly didn’t expect something so simple to work so well, but this clear tape absolutely saved my trip. I ended up with a small tear in the sunroof of my tent right before a stretch of bad weather. Instead of packing up and heading home, I used this tape to patch the hole — and it did amazing. The tape adhered immediately and stayed put, even with changing temperatures and steady rain. Because it’s clear, it didn’t block out light coming through the sunroof, which was a big plus. It created a tight seal and kept water completely out. No leaks, no peeling edges, no constant reapplying. What impressed me most was how durable it turned out to be. Wind, moisture, and tension from the tent didn’t cause it to lift or come off. It was a quick fix that ended up being a reliable solution. If you camp, overland, or spend time outdoors, keeping a roll of this clear tape in your gear is a no-brainer. It turned what could’ve been a trip-ending problem into a minor inconvenience. Highly recommend.

Very good tape. Got it to cover some LED strip lights on my motorcycle lift. Just days after securing the lights I had an oil spill. Plywood got soaked. Tape remained in place, lights still dry and protected. The tape is still holding weeks later. Get you some.

This tape has achieved mythological status in my tribe. The stuff is incredible. Four years ago, we wanted to raise the water level in our pool by an inch. Unfortunately, the grill to the over-flow drain was low enough it wouldn't let us do that. On a whim, I grabbed my roll of clear gorilla tape, cut off a six-inch piece, cut that piece long-ways so I ended up with a piece about two inches by six inches, and placed it over the bottom inch of the grille. It was half under water, and only held on to the grill where there was steel. I pushed it on hard and walked away. I was surprised to see that it stayed on overnight. I kept checking it every so often, but to be honest, it was so clear I couldn't see if it was there from six feet away. Finally, this spring, I decided to remove it. Not because it was showing any signs of coming off, but because we wanted the water level a little lower (for grandkids). This stuff works so well, it should probably be illegal. They only sell it in 18-yard rolls because this is military-grade voodoo.

I bought this tape because it was clear and I wanted to put some laminated signs up. The tape has held up in the heat and the rain (in Florida, though we're having a heatwave all across the US at the moment) and has not even begun to peel up in a month and a half so far. Additionally, the window regulator in my car door went out, so the window would not go up again once I put it down. I had to manually pull the window up to keep rain out, but while driving, the window would drop down 1/4" to 1/2" every time I hit a bump in the road. After putting another brand of silver duct tape on on the window, while at someone else's house (just to get me home that night), I woke up the next morning to find tape residue all over the window and the tape lifting up. So... I pulled out this clear gorilla tape and retaped the window until I could get it to the mechanic the next week. This gorilla tape held beautifully!!! The window didn't budge, I didn't get any moisture build up under the tape or in the car (like I did with the previous duct tape), and that window didn't budge a millimeter before I got it to the mechanic for repair. It was also a bonus that the tape was clear so that I could see when pulling into traffic or changing lanes while driving. So, this is going to be a staple in my tool kit for outdoor repairs, redneck car repairs, and any other projects requiring a strong adhesion in the elements. I cannot say this tape is easy to remove, but for what I wanted it for, I didn't want a tape that was easy to remove and this did not disappoint!

It's just the best tape in the world, that's all. This tape can hold heavy items. But the best part is that you can remove this tape and then put it back on again without leaving a mark.

Low quality, useless product. The Claim of 'for the toughest jobs on planet earth ' ടeems to be a joke. Not at all worthy of its cost. The video attached proves what a failure the product is

Es una cinta excelente, me parece un poco cara, pero su capacidad de agarre es superior a otras cintas, no se despega si le cae agua encima, pero no funciona tanto para sumergir en agua. Aun así es un producto de muy alta calidad. Vale la pena aun con el precio porque su fijación supera a cualquier otra cinta que haya probado.
