Dexcom G7 Adhesive Patches, Pack of 30, Lexcam Waterproof CGM Overpatch, Color Clear, Sensor is NOT Included

These are way, way better than the patches the Dexcom G7s come with. The ones included with the G7 tend to peel and get grimy before I'm even halfway through the sensor, which looks terrible. But these ones stick well the entire 10 days, so much that they can actually be a little tough to take off (but that's not a bad thing), and even if they do start to peel early, it's very minimal. Even though these are a wider patch than the standard ones, since they're transparent instead of white, they're still more discreet. You could also easily put this on top of the standard one for some extra assurance, and it still works perfectly well. The only minor issue with these is when putting them on, sometimes taking off the backing after sticking it to your skin causes the patch to partially lift back off your skin, even if you've pressed it down like you're supposed to. But if you just take the backing off anyway and stick it back down, it stays after that. Overall, highly recommend.

When used correctly these work wonders. They keep my sensor on through all types of outdoor activities. After much trial and error with different brands, these are the ones to use.

I really love these. They can be awkward to put on. Once I figured it out it was easy. I find the perforation first thing and pull up the corner, I try to touch the adhesive as little as possible! I am really good at applying these but my husband is terrible at it 😂. He messes them up every time! I love these because they last the entire 10 days and I dont have any problem with removing them. There is hardly any residue left behind and I’ve never had it pull on my skin or cause any discomfort at all. I can put one on and shower as usual and have never had one of these come off or even come loose. I do make sure to carefully and gently dry them upon getting out of the shower. I do see some people have had what looks like allergic reaction to these but I have never had that experience. These have performed great for me. I have never used any kind of skin tac or anything under them. These work great when you figure out the application process as long as you aren’t uncoordinated like my husband 😂

You have to be diligent about where/how you put on and take off the patch. The company gives recommendations on products you can use to aid in taking off the patch etc. Do not rip this off like you would a bandaid. Both my brother and I are Type 1 Diabetics and we both had skin reactions the first few uses. Seeing I have sensitive skin, I do tend to have skin pull up with the patch, but when being diligent and using even just water to moisten the area, the patch comes off easier and does not cause much irritation. I feel the positives out way the negatives because this patch keeps your Dexcom stuck to your arm like glue! I would bump and catch my Dexcom on things daily and this patch doesn't like the sensor move a smidge! It also moves with your body, so you don't feel restriction, it doesn't bubble, it's pretty solid with keeping water out... it does what it's supposed to do. It's super sticky so yeah, expect some skin pulling! Haha.

Is a WAY better quality patch than the one the G7 comes with. It feels more secure on the skin and is way better in the water. I bought this as a replacement because I’m going swimming everyday for exercise and the other patch does not hold up.

So I just applied my first overpatch. It’s awesome! Now here is my information for you. These patches are vapor thin (actually I like it that way) but putting them on is a bit taxing. Read the instruction card. Follow it. It works if you do. Now, once you peel of the large, thick backing tab, be careful. This thing is really sticky. Handle by the edges. If you touch the sticky part with your fingers, you will pull off the patch and then you will end up like the pictures in the bad reviews. Place it around the G7 in the proper orientation and then press onto skin. They say to run your finger around it 3 times. I went like 6 times. So much so that the separation of the second backing begins to lift. Lift off the backing slowly and in a circular motion, making sure the overlay stays attached to the body. (I had no problem). Voila! You are done. If I have any trouble removing it, I will post back here.

Trying to correct initial review. Stated that center hole way too big. THEN realized I bought the wrong one! Ordered correct one Works well.

Almost sticking too well! Harder to remove than other patches. Recommend medical adhesive wipes to help with removal.
