Q: So in reference to my question re using this on a Kerr 999 furnace: if I remove the old one and use the same hole, will this work as a replacement?

I can not find a spec on the thermocouple used by the Kerr 999 Furnace series 515, can you measure the wire thickness? The wire on the CR-01 probe is AWG8, but I have a lot of other thinner wire sensors available. If you can give me the dimensions or find the spec in the manual I am pretty sure I have a suitable replacement.

It seems the Kerr furnace has a built in thermocouple, I do not see another place to put a second one. So probably no.
