Reolink 4K+ Ultra HD 12MP PoE Security Camera Outdoor with Spotlight, Human/Vehicle Detection, Color Night Vision, Two-Way Audio, Motion Alerts, RLC-1212A

Updated 26/06/2025 - unfortunately this camera failed recently, it stopped showing an image in the App and my NVR and the web UI became inaccessible. A factory reset did not help. I completed a support request on the Reolink web site and within a couple of days they approved a return for replacement. All in all a 10-day turnaround which is awesome and so refreshing to see a manufacturer standing by their products! Original review - This is my 14th Reolink camera, I have various models. This one has a slightly narrower and shorter FOV than some of my others, but at 12MP it means it's a higher pixel density and therefore a higher quality image. For my particular application (looking across front of house towards front door and driveway) the FOV covers more than enough area and the higher quality image means I can zoom in digitally and still get a very good image.

I've been using Reolink cameras for a long time now, have six in total. Just upgraded my front 4k with the 12mp. Better quality video and has a wider POV. Person, pet and vehicle detection has gotten better. Easy to setup and install. Would highly recommend.

Easy setup and very good visually. Picture quality is excellent and the night vision is impressive.

Reolink camera does what it says on the tin

Very easy set up. Good app. Only negative is that it’s not compatible with Reolink cloud storage. Bought a second one after the success of the first one.

This is definitely a step up from older HD reolink and the really bright spotlight is great. Using the spotlight turns the night time vision into colour. Only downside, is that its still too sensitive to rain and cobwebs despite adjusting the settings to trigger after say 2 seconds. Software these days should be able to filter this out? Maybe reolinks next update will have AI :)

I have a few different models of Reolink cameras all 5MP HD but I want to upgrade to the latest and greatest which was this one. So far so good, the footage is stored on the microSD card and accessed via the app. Picture is good and has all the features I need. I’ll be buying more when their on offer again to upgrade the rest of my cameras.

Configuracion rapida, compatible con alexa!! Que nadie lo dice por ningun sitio… Aplicacion super clara y con muchas opciones. La camara tamaño pequeño y por llevar un solo foco estroboscopico hace una luz alucinante. El zoom que haces digital es una pasada de nitido. Recomendada 100 Para activar en alexa se debe ir a Servicios/ Casa inteligente y activar la opcion alexa

Installata circa 2 anni fa sul portone di casa e collegata tramite switch poe all'nvr Reolink, mai trovata offline e sempre vigile, le notifiche di rilevamento umano impostate arrivano sempre tempestivamente e la qualità video anche di notte é ottima. Consigliata.

Ich nutze die Reolink RLC-1212A seit einigen Wochen zur Außenüberwachung meines Grundstücks – und bin sehr zufrieden. Die Kamera liefert eine beeindruckende Bildqualität in 12MP (4K+) – bei Tageslicht gestochen scharf, mit hoher Detailtiefe, und selbst bei Zoom erkennt man Gesichter oder Kennzeichen deutlich. Die Farbnachtsicht in Kombination mit dem Spotlight funktioniert erstaunlich gut. Sobald Bewegung erkannt wird, schaltet sich das LED-Licht automatisch ein und liefert klare Farbbilder auch im Dunkeln – ein echter Vorteil gegenüber herkömmlicher IR-Nachtsicht. Was mir besonders gefällt: Einfache PoE-Installation: Strom und Daten über ein einziges Kabel, sauber und ohne zusätzlichen Stromanschluss MicroSD-Slot & NVR-kompatibel: Ich nutze sie in Kombination mit einem Reolink NVR, die lokale Aufnahme ist stabil und zuverlässig Zwei-Wege-Audio: Mikrofon und Lautsprecher bieten klare Verständigung – ideal, wenn man mal per App durch die Kamera sprechen muss Personen-, Fahrzeug- und Tiererkennung: Funktioniert sehr präzise, Fehlalarme werden stark reduziert Zeitraffer-Funktion: Ein nettes Extra für Bauprojekte oder Wetteraufnahmen Robustes Gehäuse (IP66): Läuft bei mir bei Wind, Regen und Hitze völlig unbeeindruckt App-Anbindung (Reolink App und Client) ist schnell und stabil. Exzellente Bildqualität, smarte Funktionen, solide Bauweise und durchdachtes Bedienkonzept. Wer eine zuverlässige PoE-Kamera für den Außenbereich sucht, macht hier nichts falsch.
